Yes i feel it too about the neck , and the left hand looks a bit too long,
Face, body ,hair and costume looks fantastic;)

Who's the sculptor?

Vince-Vell

Hmm i dont see a problem with her neck, seems to work nicely since her left arm is raised and would create the illusion of a shorter neck.

Only thing i see is the shash looks like its about to come off. Would like to see it more on her left hip at a angle more. other then that i am loving the hair flow and pose.

Really love the look of this "variant" I will definitely be getting this one. Very dynamic pose.

The base looks unfinished/small so I'm assume there will be a bit more?

It took a few years since you first told me this was a done deal, but you came through. Both versions look great. I now have nothing left to ask for.....except a Full Size...........never mind, I will bask it MM glory for a while. You are the man.

ABSOLUTELY fantastic.
Love it.
My only hesitation is that I a) prefer museum, and b) always think of MM with a more museum pose.
But that's only my preference. The sculptor really hit this one out of the park.

it's funny that you would call this the variant Randy. I actually think of the first one as more of the variant. IMO, this is more the definitive MM costume. She had it longer and established herself as a major character with this costume.

I take offense to this new marketing tactic Bowen has adopted: "Here's a FS of a character I knoooooooow you want....guess what, we made two!! Can't decide which one you want??? BUY 'EM BOTH!!! MUUUUUUUWAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!"(creepy maniacal taunting laugh);)
Yep, I give up.......I must buy both! :surrend:

good point; this was her costume for her major run w/ the George Perez Avengers in the 70s & she's still sportin it today. i, too, think of her orig solo outfit as the more specialized "retro"-variant. that said, it'll still be REALLY hard to decide between these two.

the retro variant looked like it used either rubble or cloud to link MM to the base; this one uses a more modern shape, perhaps meant to suggest her trajectory or to reference the sparkly trail that the orig Captain Marvel left as he flew?

Man it is crazy how much Randy has in process right now. Plus there is still more that is being sculpted that we haven't even seen. I'm on sensory and monetary overload! I love all these sneaks. :)

All I need is to see is Quicksilver and then I'll have to be checked into a facility.

I don't know what it is but this one is not wowing me. I like this costume the best for Ms. Marvel but I prefer the classic one 10 times above this one. Maybe it's the pose that's not working for this one.

RANDY

Would you say this is MS. MARVEL circa AVENGERS#200? Or is it WARBIRD MIGHTY AVENGERS?

EITHER WAY I LOVE IT.

Didn't know the character from the CAPTAIN MARVEL ERA. But I love both SCULPTS

Hey there is no difference in the character. The costume, person, personality is the same. She now calls herself Ms. Marvel again, so she was Warbird in name only.

03-24-2008, 03:18 PM
it's the same pose isn't it?

Yeah it is, but for some reason it's not clicking with me. When I saw the first one I was like wow. This one I'm just hmmm.... I don't know maybe it's the longer hair at this angle, I don't know. I also don't like the open hand on this one. I think she should have closed fist all the way.
