Sorry to post so many times to same thread in a row, but i want these, too!

Swordsman & Mantis would make another great 2-pack, if Northstar/Aurora & the Wrecking Crew pack sell well! Not that they also wouldn't be successful as solo sculpts....

Gotta admit, i wasn't around for Mantis's origin & first Avengers' appearances, so I don't have a firsthand love for the character. Did she come back from space, being the "Celestial Madonna?" Why is she sometimes green, being from Vietnam?
http://image.comicvine.com/uploads/item/4000/3324/6424-mantis_400.JPG
I also find Lionheart very compelling, & the 70s-version Capt Britain mb is a new classic!

Sorry, one more. i know HH wasn't an Avenger, per se, but she led the Canadian version! More powerful women! Guardian suit (tho I think she wore it as "Vindicator") or the weirder, later green suit! Puck loved her, so did Wolverine! With those two, who are we to deny her? Plus, the Alpha Flight fans are as crazy as a hockey rink full of Canadians!

Rock & Roll. These are my 2 fave (so far unseen) Avengers. Both were right on top of their game when I really got into the teams (Avs & West Coast Avs). It'd be amazing to get Mockingbird in some ass-kickin' martial arts move as a fs action pose, &/or CM transforming into her energy form.

BRING 'EM ON!

That's part of the reason I love them so much.

My favorite era of Marvel comics is definitely the '70's, but I didn't start collecting until the mid '80's. My first issue ever was West Coast Avengers Annual #2 where the East Coast Avengers and The West Coast Avengers were put against each other in another one of The Grandmaster's games. The issued featured both Captain Marvel and Mockingbird.

I knew of Captain America at the time, had no idea who Mockingbird was, and the two ended up fighting against each other, and Mockingbird was so determined to beat Cap that I couldn't help but be impressed with the character, and have loved her ever since.

Same with Captain Marvel. She fought Iron Man, and even though she was defeated, she put up one hell of a fight, and I've loved that character ever since as well.

Actually... now that I think about it... that issue kinda blows. Every single female lost the battle to a male. She-Hulk was taken down by Hawkeye (that still gives me a HUH? moment), Captain Marvel by Iron Man, Mockingbird by Captain America, Wasp by Hank Pym and Tigra by freakin' Doctor Druid... Holy sexism Batman!!!

JonoJarrett

Holy sexism Batman!!!

Truly.

I LOVE the arc in the Avengers after Herc is so badly wounded by the Masters of Evil (when they break into Avengers' Mansion--GIVE US MOONSTONE & TITANIA!). Zeus & the Greek gods come to Earth to retrieve him & kidnap/imprison the Avengers in retribution. She-Hulk tussles w/ Dionysus, Wasp w/ Artemis. Captain Marvel, though, leads the team & takes a big chunk out of Zeus himself! It's awesome!

And I love Mockingbird turning on the WCA's after dumbass Hawkeye kicked her out for letting the Phantom Rider die. That's when a big multinational force stole & "erased" the Vision & Scarlet Witch started coming apart at the seams. John Byrne drew a HOT Mockingbird & they made her so bitchy-mouthy, it was really, really great.

One of my favorite arcs of the 80's, absolutely. I love the scene after Captain Marvel just unleashes a world of hurt on Zeus, and he's still standing, and her and Thor have a conversation. She says something like "I hit him with everything I have.... he's still standing... I'm spent... etc. etc." and Thor tells her that she wounded him more than any mortal ever has before. THAT was definitely a defining character moment. Completely spent, the enemy is still standing, and she STILL didn't show just how weak she was. That kinda defines the character for me.

(And about Moonstone and Titania... from your lips my friend... from your lips.... Titania = my favorite female villain of all time!)

One of my favorite times in the WCA run. I loved the few issues that focused on Mockingbird's ragtag team of her, Tigra and Moon Knight, finally finding a way to rid her of the Phantom Rider's spirit.

Those were some good days in Avengers history for me definitely!

TOTALLY. I loved those issues & i remember that panel really well, too.

Can't you just imagine the spikes on Titania's arms & those big, crazy boots. I really dig Moonstone's new Thunderbolts costume.

I think Iron Man also deserves his she-nemesis, Madame Masque. Chrome her face!

And to think Hawkeye rescued/resurrected Hellcat instead! Still, since we know that Mephisto has her soul, maybe Bobbi will come back one day. No one in Marvel stays dead forever.

Let's see, Capt Marvel/Photon, Moondragon, Mantis/Swordsman, Mockingbird, Jack of Hearts and Jocasta . . . One of each, please!

Isn't Lionheart a current member of the Avengers? If so, I'll have one of these as well.

I'd love to also have all the Thunderbolts, especially Moonstone.

Oh, what the heck, throw in a Titania and Madame Masque as well.

:thumb:100%, except Lionheart left the Avengers right when Wanda had her meltdown, just before House of M. Then I think she just went back to England & showed up in (yawn) New Excalibur.

Ugh, i'm so bad w/ names but the penciler who illustrated her origin (izzit O Coipel?) in the classic 70s Capt Britain costume rocks--I bet Bowen could do that same pose, w/ the sword raised & her hair streaming, perfectly.

Actually, I love Rage. He was a much better fit with The New Warriors though, and his recent portrayls in Avengers: The Initiative have been pretty damn good.

And although I know you were kidding, I can't be the only one that thinks a Dr. Druid mini-bust could look VERY cool.

If they were members of the Avengers or direct enemies of the Avengers I will buy them but there are characters like Dr. Druid who are really, really longshots!

As far as characters confirmed to be on the list, Machine Man was with the WCA and wan't Jocasta also said to be a possibility? There is also Giant Man/Goliath, Ant Man and Wasp. Anybody got a definative list they can post? This would be a good thread to keep that list updated.

It would also be a good idea to track the enemies of the Avengers here, don't you think?

there's a Giant Man wip at SF; Ant Man is on the list as RB decides whether it'll be a regular museum or if he'll be riding an ant; Wasp has been confirmed as a fs, by Tony C.

I'd totally welcome the Masters of Evil in their 80s incarnations. I don't read the Thunderbolts now, but i dig Moonstone's new costume.

You can look up the MsoE at Comicvine to see their roster & appearances in Avengers books. Tigershark & Grey Gargoyle have pretty good mb's; the Wrecking Crew is already on the list as a mb 4-pack; & there's an Absorbing Man fs sneak already; i don't know about B Zemo or the rest: Moonstone, Titania, Yellowjacket, Screaming Mimi (now Songbird), Blackout, Mister Hyde, etc.

For me, the Masters of Evil are really those supervillains who wrecked up Avengers Mansion that one time & beat the crap outta Hercules & Jarvis.

there's been lots of changeover & various incarnations, so the complete list is very long & kind of random.

I wonder if chances would be better for these characters as a Soviet Super-Soldier 2-pack (w/ the male & female Red Guardians, in case it wasn't obvious), in the manner of Aurora/Northstar & our own suggestion, Mantis/Swordsman? Could be followed by Vanguard/Darkstar if it worked!

True. No criticism or soapboxiness meant, but that's true of CM's place in Marvel, too. She was also a pretty kick-ass, high-power character, led the Avengers thru numerous high-stakes adventures, & had a hilarious, career-reviving 2nd act as leader of (totally underrated) NextWave. Think, too, of how great the sculpt could be, after the manner of Frankie Raye Nova mb or Julia Carpenter Spider-Woman2!

TOTALLY agree....she had (and still has!) the potential to be top tier!!!

(One thing that's interesting.....it was sort of implied in She-Hulk #21 that the Monica Rambou from NEXTWAVE wasn't the Avengers Photon....she was actually from an alternate Earth!).
Either way, this character's potential is SERIOUSLY being wasted!!!!

And she'd make a KILLER bust!!!!!!

From RB's Q&As, i think these 2 are happening; Namorita, too, for a mini-New Warriors lineup.

Songbird's one a lot of folks who're still reading the comics ask for. the problem i think is that many of BD's hardcore collectors stopped reading the books a LONG time ago & so they have no affection for/interest in the newer characters.

Anyone remember a short lived series called "A-Next"? Well, in issue one, we learned that there is a future where the Avengers were disbanded but some sort of problem occurs that results in a call being sent out to reorganize them. One of the first "former" Avengers to show up is a character known as Jolt from the Thunderbolts. Interesting, eh?

Echo's also pretty kick-ass, and is the STAR of this week's New Avengers (#39). Am i alone, tho, in thinking that any statue/mb of Echo would look EXACTLY like one of asian ninja Psylocke, just less purple?

I'm REALLY looking forward to this story.....I think they've only scratched the surface of this character's potential!

As for a bust....if Randy were to base it on Mack's Daredevil stories....I think it would have much more of an Native American vibe than a Psylocke one!8-)
