With most weeknights spent grabbing food on the way home from work, tonight I was in the mood for a good meal at home. Stopped at Whole Foods, picked up some nice New York strips, green beans, potatoes, bread, cheese and wine, and got to work. Nothing particularly fancy, just a nice hearty meal and the satisfaction of cooking it myself while watching a new HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER.

The before:

The snack during:

The finished product:

Verdict:
:boogie:Yum!

Had some pretty good shrimp lo mein take out with a few crab wontons on the side. Dr. Pepper as the beverage of choice. Watched an episode of Sleeper Cell while I ate.

I've been trying to save money (and eat a little better) by eating out less often, but I was so glad to wrap up an extended house-sitting stint for a friend that I thought I'd treat myself. Definitely worth it. Back to peanut butter and the like tomorrow...

Nah. I had pizza around 7 and only two slices. Then I went to hang out with a friend and we ended up at taco bell around 1130.

Long day on a shoot for me. Gal didn't get home until late-o'clock from class, so I cheaped out and did some bean and cheese nachos.

It's gonna be a warm night under the covers!
