I'm losing my mind here. I've been trying to get this thing to work for two days, and so far, nothing.

I own a Acer Aspire 3680 that has the most basic version of Windows Vista you can have on it. My printer is a Lexmark Z640, nothing fancy, just something I can print my scripts out on. It's practically brand new, and the box says it works with Vista.

I think the box lies.

Basically, I've intalled the disc software, twice now at this point, and my laptop just won't find the fucking thing. I've had people smarter than me trying to get it working, but so far, no joy. It just sits there like a massive paperweight. At first I thought it might ave ssues with the script program I'm using (CeltX), but it also won't print off a normal text document.

There's black ink in it, but no colour ink, if that means anything.

Please, if you can, help me.

Maybe the printer is trying to tell you something about your scripts?

Also, have you tried phoning the Lexmark people? They may have some troubleshooting hotline that is more likely to offer you help than the Benbo.

Vista can be a bear.

I had the same problems when I bought a home laptop with Vista.

Go to the printer company's website and see if there is software to download (drivers).

If that does not work, call the printer tech support line for the company.

I had to call the tech support line for my printer. They know about Vista challenges and have the solutions ready for you.
