Hey Brad! That was a fun time we had a MegaCon. Tell your pal I said "Thanks for the beer" (or was that you who bought the round?) Anyway, I think this photo was when i was complaining about all the costumed fans that i couldn't tell if they were a man or a woman. I guess cross-dressing is the big thing in Animae these days!
I reposted the She-Hulk #2 prelim (Hawkeye) hope you don't mind--your photo was kind of yellow!

Hey guys.. I think that is my elbow beside greg in that shot from Brad. It was really good meeting you guys. You had your phone up to show us the Invisible woman as a skrull shot (which btw is that posted up here anywhere?) We left town too early on Sunday to get back by your table to see it

That's right! I wasn't able to print Invisible Woman in time for the show, so I just went to the world famous Bendis Boards to show people her carzy-ass visage. The thread is here (go to page 17 or 18 for Sue)

Thanks a bunch. That Skrull Sue is freakin' noice! I really like the running mascara.. keep up the good work.

and btw... on a different note, cross dressing anime folks... definitely worth complaining about, heh.

That is a cool Hawkeye Greg. You have a simple, yet very clean style when you draw. It looks like you thought that image up and it got sucked out of you head and onto the paper.

It's a prelim for She hulk #2--just something to give my editor an idea what I was planning for the pose...it's supposed to be simple, but i added a few details while Brad waited!

By the way, that is Marvel Comics penciler Jimmy Cheung next to me. We had just gone to the Gaylord Palms (insert joke here) to sample their never-ending buffet. I totally cheated on my cholesterol and treated myself to 2 plates of prime rib. There was a few Marvel guys there: Joe Quesada, John Romita jr, Mike Perkins, Bob McLeod, me and Jimmy.

This weekend was insane.

I will agree with the orgnial poster though, you are truly an "alright cat". :)

I love that no matter what convention I'm working on, you always have a smile and a wave for me when I dash by yelling into a walkie-talkie. :)

Thanks for that.

I love Perkins' art! I like everyone else's too, but he doesn't get much attention so I wanted to give him a shot out!

I usually only go to Megacon about once every 2-3 years, but after this past one, I doubt I'll miss another while I live in the southeast (NW Fla.). Had a great time sitting in the bar downstairs in the hotel. How crazy was it sitting in a bar with Kristy Swanson???????

Also, I have to say Mike Perkins is amazing. I asked him to do a simple Bucky domino mask in my Cap Omnibus and he did a sick head sketch in like 3 mins. THEN he did a sick cap head sketch in my Death of Cap hardcover. He told me I went out of my way to buy these, the least he could do is throw a cool sketch in it for me. Kudos to Mike Perkins.

Also, I believe it was Brad that turned my on to these boards Saturday night (we were talking about Rich Johnston). Cool place, thanks!

PS. I'll see if I can find and post a pic of me, my wife, and Greg at the 2003 Megacon (was my first).

Perkins is a good guy! He's actually local to megaCon since he lives near Tampa (as does Jimmy). I've met them before, but this year we really clicked. that's one of the best things about cons--making new friends...even if they make fun of you. Speaking of which, I'm going to post on the megaCon thread about another tale having to do with Mike testing the limits of my good humor!
