Randy - What comic book stories from your youth, do you still remember & look back upon with fondness?

Hmmm... I was a DC kid initially. I was into all the standard stuff: JLA, Brave and the Bold, Worlds Finest. I really dug Action Comics also, when Jim Aparo was the artist for The Spectre and Aquaman. LSH was another favorite title. Mad Magazine.

I was in my twenties before I got back into comics. Right about the time Frank Miller was writing Daredevil.

Same here, I hadn't read comics for a few years (it was a being a teen boy and liking girls better thing), then I was working at Macy's and a guy recommended Mike Zeck's Punisher miniseries to me, after I hunted down the issues and read them I was hooked. I went and found every Punisher appearance I could. Then in 1990 X-Men #1 came out and I got hooked again in a big way. It's been madness ever since.

I have never really been into X-men. I do have the urge to read them all from #1. It's on my list of to-do's for this year. Same as Thor and Daredevil. I do currently read DD though.

I haven't read X-Men religiously in like 10 years though I still get all of them.

Right now my favorites are the Avengers books, Capt. America, Planet Hulk was awesome. I also like a lot of DC books like Teen Titans, Green Lantern, Flash. I'm getting really bored with the weekly books like Countdown.

I bought GL when he first came back and then stopped buying all books. Then I heard about Civil War and when the interweb began speculation about Cap's death I got back in.

I have to admit I'm a few months behind on everything, I spend to much time on these forums to read anything. Right now I'm catching up on my Y The Last Man trades.

I collected Y before I gave up, but haven't picked it up again. I can't believe what I've heard about it and how it ended. I should make for an incredible movie.

Don't tell me, I haven't heard anything besides it ended. After I catch up on Y then I'll hit the Fables trades.

Brubaker and Lark took the baton and ran with it on DD. I loved Bendis and Maleev's run.

Yeah but I'm still trying to figure out how there can be an invasion when the Skrulls were all but wiped out during Annihilation.

I am. I pray that Captain Marvel is not a skrull though. There was a lot of criticism about bringing him back, but I am HAPPY about it.

I haven't read Annihilation, tried, but couldn't get into it.

I would think though that the Skrulls who have infiltrated would survive and maybe these are a rogue/separate group of Skrulls that did not take part in that storyline.

Maybe they were already on earth during that event...:scared:

I'm looking forward to it
