View Full Version : An apology from Greg Horn
Last week I got a real frustrated with you guys for your lack of Skrull guessing skills, and I called you new jacks and "babies" and then I told you to have your Mommy change your poopie diapers... anyway, I am feeling bad about it now... I apologize and hope you can find it in your hearts to forgive me. I also really hope you guess tomorrow's Skrull.

We'll forgive you if you tell us who the Skrulls are and if you give us free original pages from your art :).
Nah we love you Greg.

No big deal Mr Horn. Hell there's been less that hasn't been apologized for at some time in my life. :)
Besides, as long as you keep drawing it's all good for me.

Let me think about it... OK, I'll forgive you. But you owe me a free comic book.
I would agree...except i'm worried....which comic book are you expecting for free! Don't tell me-- MadBalls #5 :scared:

That *is* a Greg Horn cover.
It's not? Well, still mildly humorous to say it was.
It's not? Nevermind.

Let's see what does Greg have to say about it.
Alas, i have to say the answer is a resounding "No". I have petitioned the makers of MadBalls time and time again, but they refuse to let me create cover work for their products. The main issue is that they are worried about me making the covers too sexy, and mothers around the country will call in to complain. This has happened before with Inquest Gamer and Playstation mag, so I guess I understand their concerns. but.... damnit...i REALLY want to work on Madballs bad.
I think I'm going to petition them again tonight--keep your fingers crossed.

Where as I'm joining the party a little late I just want to share that I'm on a personal quest to redeem your fanbase.
I'm just sayin.

Jokes aside I think that's a serious trouble. Censorship is always present in comic books. You would think that without the Comics Code Authority things would get better, but it seems like there are lots of rules that can't be broken.
Actually, it is only a half joke (which i do alot so watch out). The covers I did for Inquest Gamer and Playstation really did receive a lot of complaints! Here are the offending culprits:
http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u231/greg-23/FORUM%20PICS/Serra_Angel_Magic_WotC-1.jpg
http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u231/greg-23/FORUM%20PICS/Tomb_raider_bikini.jpg
http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u231/greg-23/FORUM%20PICS/Soul_Calibur_grils_of_summer.jpg
I don't think the Serra Angel is THAT bad and the Tomb Raider is not really offensive at all. The last one with Soul Calibur is a little strong but it was an interior piece and not highly visible. "Look! You can clearly see that one girl's whosits and the other girl's thingamabob...it's right there!"

Was it Inquest doing the complaining, and/or its readers? Considering a large number of their readers are probably single males, I can not imagine why they would complain....

Ummmm... if they're offensive, I want to be offended ALL THE TIME.

From what I understand, it was "Moms" who had complained. Which is cool considering you've go a mother actually paying attention to what their kids are reading or doing. But i still don't think these images should set somebody off that bad! Personally, this art work would rank very low on stuff i'd try to keep my OWN kids away from. There's more important things to watch out for everyday!

Yeah, OFFEND ME BABY!! that's a good pick up line

It is always the same story. People get offended by partial nudity but they would enjoy seeing people killing other people.
