he's getting a ton of mainstreem press, so it'll be worth it.

$480 million in revenue in 2007.
Likely a gate for WrestleMania in excess of $75 million.
They can afford it.

Just because they can afford it doesn't mean that they should.

sure. but it's waaaaaay too much for what they're getting out of the deal.Especially since popping a rating means nothing, as they don't get a cut of the advertising money from USA.

but keep in mind, with outside exposure....you don;t know how that bumps up the stocks....just throwing that out there.

I can assure you that the spike doesn't bump up the stocks to $20 million.

only if they can hold the rating and sell ppv buys. we'll find out later today if it stayed high this week.

well, my point is...there's alot more to this then just USA's ratings.
we're dealing with a billion dollar company....i think they know what their doing.

But think of all that money they lost after having to clean the giant "DX's" off of the corporate Headquarters and the company jet!

and how do you know what their deal is?
maybe they have other deals in the works that we dont; know about.....
something like....if the stocks go up to a certain number, this company will invest, or advertise or release WWE merchendise.....we have no idea what deals these guys are making on a daily basis.

or maybe they are trying to line something bigger next year based on what happens with floyd.

basicly, we really don't have all the info to judge.....

From a business point, I can see it, as I have been a pro wrestler for 13 years now, but as a fan who's going to WrestleMania for the first time, I couldn't give a frog's fat ass about Floyd Mayweather. Besides, didn't Big Show already do a "Cross-Promotional" match with sumo wrestler Akibono and get his butt flipped out of the ring?

Oh indeed he did. Seems like they use the Big Show for these type of matches.
