Hey Greg
I was wondering if your tag gallery would be making a come-back? Perhaps if it is, you could stick this in it?

You just did it! I stopped posting signature tags on my website a while ago. It is ten times better to post them here on the forum where everybody can see them. Anyway, your sig will be the first on this new thread, and if you have any other members at your group who would like to show off their creations tell them to post here!

Yeh I have to agree. Well I've linked everyone in Darren's forum so hopefully we should be seeing lots of tags in no time at all :D

Am trying not to go into totally uncool toadying being here but hey it's Greg Horn!!!!!
Love your work!
Hey guys! These are pretty cool-- thanks for sending them along. We will get this Sig thread back to its former glory in no time!! (The last one was up to 100 posts) By the way, I'm going to get some new packages out with creative at the beginning of March because I know there is a lot of people with previous tags they have already created, but the tubes are not available.

If I may put in a request, I'd kill for the Splinter Cell stuff you have! Pllleeeeeease :)
Okay, i'll try to get a "tough guys" pack out by early March (probably first week). I have also had some requests for the rest of the LOTR paintings, so maybe another "Fantasy" pack is in order.

Wonderful!!! Thank you Greg!
There just aren't enough male related things in the tagging community! You're one of the few who has art for use that has any kind of manliness to it!
I look forward to seeing them!
Hi Greg! I just got an email from Darren and Moddy with this link, so thought I'd pop in and show you the first tag I made with my new tubes. I love your work!

Da-hang! That's really cool. Love that animated arrow through the heart.
By the way, one of Anthony's standard rules is no animation, but i asked him to put out a release saying that I allow it. So if anyone at your group has a question about this, let them know it is fine by me. Just don't go overboard--when I see a little sig that is 5 MB in size...well, I think that might be just a tad bit too much animation!

Hey Darren--that's a pretty cool one of Sam Fisher... I snapped this photo of the actual book a few months ago when i was walking through the grocery store. See how Penguin Books did their own "sig" of my art (they made it red)? Personally, i wish they had left it the way it was, but the red DOES pop off the shelf better doesn't it?

If anybody wants to see the original Splinter Cell image its at:

Thanks Greg!
Yeh I like the blue better myself. I can see why they changed it red for the book, as you say to make it jump out from the shelf it also lends itself to a large explosion feel.
I know it's not my art but see where they've changed the trademark green on the night vision glasses to what looks like yellow to match the text. That to me seems silly and would bug the crap outta me, why change the one thing that really defines Fisher?
How do you get over seeing something with your art that just makes you go "Bleurgh"? and do they give you credit anywhere lol? Do they have like a license number on the back page
Actually serious question from that, do you actually get any credit for stuff like that or is it just they throw some money at you and you have to sit back and know that only the truly enlightened would know it was your work?
Hi Darren,
This is a really good topic--I mean stuff like having your art changed without knowing it-- i think i'm going to start a new thread to talk about this. I'll post it later today.

I thought people weren't allowed to post sigs based on your art due to people exploiting your art? Or have I got it wrong?
Darren

I can answer that one for you Omega. If you want to use Greg's art you now have to get a license to use it from a place called CILM (http://www.cilm.com)
They used to represent my artwork too.
Actually, i was talking about companies that I've done commissioned work for that have made changes to my art work... Not sig/tag makers (like the folks who post on this thread). The whole conversation came up because Penguin Books recolored my Splinter cell art for the cover of the latest novel. but, its in the #13 best seller slot in the photo...so maybe I shouldn't complain!
