In more ways than one :D
Yup, the end of an era is here, and just like She-Hulk #21, Greg says adieu to another female Marvel character with her own title. :(
Oh well, if Greg is indeed telling the truth, then we'll be getting some Skrullicious covers VEERRRY soon. :)

Wow. Maybe Greg's best MM cover? Either that or the Puppet Master. I think this one. Although I reserve the right to change my mind.
Thanks Guys! Steve Wacker had requested i do my last cover with a white background, and i only did this flaming wreckage as a test just to see what it would look like. In the end, we went with a plain white background. But being the detail orientated kinda guy I am, just couldn't stand the lack of detail, so i went back into the art work and added details to Ms M's figure instead. Anybody wanna see it huh? huh?

That's a really good cover. Ms Marvel readers are going to miss you. A lot .

I loved this one, really good cover Greg...Im gonna miss you a lot in this title, and yea, this is a superb cover...can we see the other version? :D
Great cover. Would love to see any variations of it you have Greg. Can't wait to get this issue!
Here is what the final cover will look like with the white background and Ms Marvel's costume in tatters. Personally, I really like the flaming background and i'm going to try to convince them to combine the two covers. But the white background is not horrible--it has a nice pin up quality to it. Also, you have to use your imagination and think what it will look like with the logo added. The logo will really balance this image out.

I hope this cover with her costume in tatters isn't a lead in to her changing her costume. Her costume rocks!

Both versions are really good.

I agree! Ms Marvel's costume is great! But...couldn't the lightning bolt be a cut out instead of yellow material? That would definitely make the costume better.

I like every costume that Ms. Marvel has had except for Warbird. I'm also more than happy to see Carol in her original costume anytime. These are the reasons that #22 is my favorite Ms. Marvel cover.
As for #27, I really like both versions of the cover. Ideally, I would like the two images combined also.
(What I would really like to see in the white background is a huge pile of Skrull carcasses. That would be excellent.)

Why don't you draw it that way? Just for fun.
Ha! I was not expecting someone to call me on it-- you are The man, Arion!
....I'll think about....oh boy, will I EVER think about it.

Just draw them the right size and we're all happy, and no one gets hurt. #26 still falls in the maybe range.
By the way, someone mentioned #22 as a favorite. How could I forget that one? That is one of my faves too. 3 for the price of one.
In fact Greg has done the multiple Ms. Marvels a couple times. I think he should go all out ala Agent Smith in the Matrix and have 100 Ms. Marvels going after one Ms. Marvel. Are you up for it?

You want me to paint 100 Ms Marvels!?!?!
I'm glad you are not my editor....

Whoa! That looks a lot better than i was expecting! I don't really like doing paintings with no background... I always feel like its unfinished...but they usually print good on the actual comic book cover becasue the logo fills in the "dead space" at the top. Also, you get the stark contrast of the figure on a white background--it really pops out! Thanks for posting this!

At least the distribution feels right.
