Who's a Skrull?

I was thinking this would be a good place for this:

Who is a Skrull Contest? Pick the characters that you think will be revealed to be a Skrull. Its all your speculation.

I would like to add a caveat that you should give the scene or scenes where you picked this up that he/she/it is a Skrull.

Would anyone be interested? And excuse me if this was done before.

Cage.

These two aren't mine, but found elsewhere to support the idea:



NA #1 when it all goes dark, luke cage doesnt say a thing, possibly snabbed by a few skrulls then switched out. This also could go along with why the Purple Man couldnt control Luke Cage. Even though Luke says that the Purple Man was drugged up, every other super villian was fighting with their powers even though they were drugged as well. The skrulls are smart enough to plan ahead and check out every weakness each hero had, they prolly put in some telepathic wards in the new replaced luke cage




Ok, I wanna throw my hat in the ring so to speak. Bendis has said all along that he was leaving clues all as far back as New Avengers #1. SO, during the excursion into the Savage Land. Spiderwoman and Cage run across Wolverine, who attacks them, because he doesn't recognize their scents. Which leads me to believe that either Cage or SW (or both) is a skrull. Of course the Cage/Jones baby had green skrully eyes at the end of #31 so I think it's a given that either Cage or Jones is a skrull.


Also, post-Secret Invasion, a top 20 Avengers title is being canceled. I'd say New Avengers.

Cage being a Skrull, with Strange leaving would pretty much wipe out any need for the New Avengers book.. couple that with the cancellation rumor... add in Jessica suddenly being worried about the baby's safety.. Cage stands a good chance of having been replaced.

With no HQ, no real direction behind it post-secret invasion, and possibly half the team being Skrulls.. I see it as a prime candidate.

Spidey because the best way to deflect suspicion is to claim you are a Skrull. Only a crazy person would admit that to people freaking out.

Or to put it another way, rewatch THE THING :)

For that reason, Wolverine would also be another prime candidate. Maybe they CAN be detected but telling everyone they're undetectable would stop them from approaching, say, Daredevil to see if he can hear if their hearts operate differently from humans.

Also, Wolverine's been one, so fans are expecting that he CAN'T be one for that reason. Which to me, says that he has a better chance of being one, if Bendis wants to keep ahead of everyone and go against expectations. Likewise, offering up his sacred cow of Luke Cage as a Skrull, which no one would expect since he's seemingly his favorite character.

Spidey, also, since all the stuff in OMD/BND would suggest Marvel wouldn't mess with him.. which makes it MORE suspicious to me if they want to provide surprises in the storyline.

Which leaves only Echo, Hawkeye and Iron Fist left. Echo gets an issue to herself on the eve of a huge storyline, which COULD suggest a swan song type story. Which would leave Hawkeye and Iron Fist. Then again, Echo COULD be a Skrull necessitating a whole issue to explain WHEN she was swapped.

Either way, not a lot of Avengers left standing afterwards.

All of that take place before OMD. He is seen without his mask so they still know he is Pete at this point.

Oh, and Storm.

Black Panther is too important. And they're isolated fairly well, on top of a huge pile of Vibranium, which is integral to the Skrulls as seen in the first N.A. arc.

And what made me think of it? Doom approaching BP, Namor, Loki, etc to form alliances. And jokingly, the new cover with BP on the throne.. the arm rest has what looks like a green Skrull face that is asymmetrical on both sides.

Of course, Jessica moving into Stark Tower could be to spy on them since the Skrulls know that's where they took Elektra's corpse.

I am thinking Echo because to me the whole set up of her rescue would definitly engraciate her more into the group after her rescue and her killing off Elektra could been to further the plan. What did Elektra Skrull do to her when she was captured? The last words Dr. Strane say to her is ''you will be free'' and then she runs off and stabs Elektra.

And also Ms. Marvel has way to much concern for Luke and Jessicas baby recently. I have been rereading my New Avengers Revolution trade and issues 32 to 37 along with Annual #2. On a few different occasions here she voices a concern for that baby.

I am with you on the kid since I think Jessica is a Skrull, and Sentrys wife( I think it was Akira or Ryudo that gave me evidence that makes that theory weaker though.)Spidey and Cage are are real though.

Now that Cap is out of the picture Stark is the greatest threat to the Skrull invasion and Ultron could have been to get data on him, get his data, steal his armor or that's when they made a switch on Stark to be a Skrull...but I dont think that will happen. If tony gets replaced I think it would be in the middle of Invasion and for a short time.

Yeah, I ma pretty sure he is as well. I think the beating his wife thing will have turned out to have been what the Skrull Pym did.

42 was Pyms idea as well.

there was a Skrull at the end of the Initiative Annual #1 that looked like he was wearing Pyms old costume.

Pym seems to be down with a lot of the doucheiness that is going on in the Initiative.

This would be a great way to clean the character up.

I would maybe think Ms. Marvel, but she lets people off the hook too much when she catches them for me to think she's a Skrull. But I can't remember everything she's done...she seems more adamant about bringing in the New Avengers maybe even than Tony. Tony seems to want to make them understand or to understand what they might know. Ms. Marvel just keeps pleading.

And now I think Echo and Hawkeye (Ronin) are skrulls. The way they interact. She was fighting New Avengers and Iron Fist is trying to get her to fight it and then all the sudden she switches to New Avengers. She did kill Elektra, but the truth of the Skrulls was already emerging and an oppurtunity to be in New Avengers would seem great. Ronin was dead he's back and kind of cavalier and when Echo walked in on him in the shower it seems like she something about him beyond nudity that shocked her and it was probably a wound which showed his skrull side and she didnt know there was someone already a skrull in NA.
