I don't even have a girlfriend currently.

My question is for the guys who have experienced this. How long do I have until she starts demanding grandchildren?

How old were your parents when they were married (if they were) and/or how old when you were born? Because she's probably using that as a yardstick.

I believe they both were in their mid-twenties.

You are not really 32. I am thinking 22 tops.

Yeah, for a 32 year-old you seem overly dependent on the opinions of others. Tell your mom that you have a ten year-old daughter but her mother won't let you see her. That should take care of her endless whining.

You think she's bad now wait until you introduce her to your next girlfriend, it will be nonstop harassment from your mother about when you'll get married and have kids, etc. Just tell her you're gay, dude.

Find the craziest, ugliest crack whore you can and bring her over for dinner after telling your mom you took her advice and found your soul-mate.
That will shut her up.

My mom knows better than to ever tell me that after what happened last year.
Is it worse when your parents are pushing you, or when they just seem to feel sorry for you like they've given up? :scared:

23. Just got done with a cousin's wedding where a bunch of relatives declared that they're going to start looking for a wife for me (arranged marriage). It's horrible.

Can't you just tell them you don't want interference? True love doesn't happen with shotgun weddings or arranged marriages. Or does it?

I think an arranged marriage could be kind of hot. Or horribly, horribly disappointing.

Just do what I do, tell them she has to be, as beautiful as a Bollywood movie actress. There is simply no way, they can get a Woman to meet such high standards and if they do. Go for it!!!!

They work out for most people here but I feel that's because most people just decide to make the best of what they have to work with and also because divorce is still a stigma here for women.

I know of arranged marriages that have lasted forever and true love marriages that ended within a year and I don't know what's the best system but arranged marriage isn't for me. I'd rather build on a relationship than just be handed a forced one.

My wife and I are both 31, married for nearly 8 years now, and I think my relatives have finally given up on the idea of us having kids. We both think it would be hilarious to have one at this point, just to see their reactions...

I'm 22 and I get the feeling my mom thinks I should be married, or at least engaged. My parents were married in college, my sister when she was 23. I have a steady girlfriend, but I'm not sure if I ever want to get married.

How old do you want to be when you have kids. I was 30 when my first was born and 33 when the second one was. You're still pretty far off from when you and a woman should start considering kids, given your lack of a girlfriend right now, so you will be considerably older than all their friends parents when your children grow up. You will also get to see less of their lives and the less of the lives of their children. Not Tony Randall less, but still a little less. You may also end up becoming a burden on your children just at the time they are trying to deal with raising young children of their own, should your health not last into your golden years.

There are valid reasons people have kids before a certain age. Not that you can't or shouldn't wait. It just raises issues, especially if the woman you have children with is of what's termed "advanced maternal age" (35+). So find a young filly, stud.

Fuck that. 22 is way too young to be married.

Ooooh, single and in the early 30's? You're toast. You aren't getting married. You will be single for the rest of your life. All the good ones have been taken, and you are left with what the rest of us didn't want in the first place, or have thrown away via divorce. Either way, they are damaged goods. Thank god you'll have internet porn to keep you warm at night.

Shouldn't having kids be something that you do when it's the right time for you, not because you might get sick in 30 years? :-?

Unfortunately, this is probably 100% true. Infact, single guys' experiences with women in their 30s deserves to have a thread all on its own. :)
