I reread The Man Who Laughs a while back, but I just randomly plucked it out from my shelf to look it over. 64 pages for $6.95, I fucking love that. Why isn't this more embraced by the big 2 and smaller and self publishers?

Is it not a good business move? And I guess it's too short to be carried by Borders and other big stores huh?

But still, there's gotta be some market for it. I would so much rather read a significant size preview online, then buy the actual thing rather than get a small mini series.

I love'em as well and I want to do some. So I will be doing my best to make some happen.

I think the last prestige book I bought was Dark Knight Strikes Again.

I'm sure I'm going to butcher the spelling but:
Cercy from Avatar and Warren Ellis was a great little prestige format book that came out recently. And according to Ellis Avatar will keep it in print so you can pick one up when ever you want.

The problem with Prestige IMO is that is usually seems to be double the comic for double the price.

Also, most of the Prestige books I've read really haven't been that good.

I think the Jeff Smith Shazam mini was in the Prestige format.

I like the prestige format, mostly for the thicker covers. I wish monthlies could take that approach, but obviously the price point would be an issue.

Yeah I'm ok with that though.

But then when the story stinks you've paid twice as much as you would have :)

Well I said there'd need to be a sizable preview online for it. There's no reason if you're putting out a 64 page comic not to have something like the first 10 or so pages online to preview.
