View Full Version : The DOLPHINS WIN A GAME!
Yes! the impossible happened "The worst team in football" wins its first game on their 14th attempt! This insures that they will not be proclaimed the worst team EVER! This dubious distinction is still owned by the 76' Bucs... Thank you God! I know this is pathetic, but a "by the skin of your ass" win against the lousy Baltimore Ravens is about as good as it gets for us Dolphin fans. :blah:

I think a case can be made for the Dolphins of 2007 being the worst team in NFL history since Tampa Bay has the excuse of being an expansion team.
You are starting to sound like my wife (she's a stinking jets fan). The Dolphins have 1 win and the 76' bucs had NO wins. While the Bucs may have an excuse of being an expansion team they are still worse than the 2007 Dolphins.... and have the worse record to prove it. Also, all of the Bucs stats were way worse (their QB got sacked like 50 times that year)
The Dolphins will be in the Super Bowl next year! ... if all the other teams die that is. The funny thing is-- they should have lost this game too...why didn't the Ravens go for the touchdown on 4th and goal instead of going into overtime? ...and then their automatic kicker missed the fieldgoal in OT. The fins got lucky. they are like the Keystone Cops half the time.

I'm happy for them. Why, as a Colts fan would I care, you ask? Because I think this just caused Jim Rome's giant ass head to explode

Lisa Simpson was right!
Everytime I hear about the Dolphins football team I'm always reminded of that time on the Simpsons when Homer uses Lisa to predict football game winners. That and the movie Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. aaaaaaaaaaaahhh memories!

The Ravens play calling has been sub par this entire year. They go out and sign McGahee to a six year $32 million deal and DON'T USE HIM! They are on the goal line and they have one of their three crappy QB's try and throw the ball in. Their coach has some of the worst play calling I've ever seen. TIME OUT ANYONE!
The MNF game against the Bengals they should have had McGahee punch the ball in...NOPE and they lost.
Same thing happened against the Dolphins.
There are still Dolphins fans left?
Only depressed ones...

Yeah, the Dolphins have good play calling, but they sure don't have the players to execute. The last drive of regulation was typical of this whole season-- first their kickoff goes out of bounds--can you believe that!? anyway, this gives the Ravens the 40 yard line (essentially they gave them 20 yards for free!), then the Ravens 2 minute offense is looking unstoppable... a pass is caught at the 1 yardline and the receiver falls flat. All the Dolphin defender has to do is tag the guy down and the clock will run out (Ravens have no time outs left). But in typical Dolphin fashion, the cornerback stands there scratching his scrotum and the receiver rolls out of bounds to stop the clock!!! So I'm thinking, "here's where the Ravens punch it in and the Dolphins lose ON THE VERY LAST PLAY OF THE GAME!" But then...it didn't happen-- Billick went for the tie. I understand he is a defensive minded kinda guy, but they really let the fish of the hook.
...I know, a Dolphin is not a fish...

yeah! Dan Marino gets kidnapped in that movie--boy, his acting really sucked. I've seen trees that can out act Dan Marino. Embarrassing.

You see the 2 dolphins on Espn first take? They were pissed about having to be paraded about on their first win.

And didn't the Ravens almost beat the Pats like a couple weeks ago? That would have been sweet irony if they had.
ugh.. you just reminded me...Dolphins play the Pats this weekend.:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

I'm a Packer fan, but I will be rooting for the Dolphins this weekend. I wonder what the spread is for that Dolphin Pat game??
I heard on the radio that the spread on this game was the highest for the whole NFL season! But the guy said this a month ago and i'm not sure if they really give spreads that far in advance.

Yes there still are Dolphins fans. Shame on you being depressed Greg. The Dolphins have been glossing over their weakness for years by signing vets when youth was needed. Every year you would hear"oh they are just a couple players away from the playoffs" and then trade away top draft picks for vets. Well after 5 or 6 years that catches up with you.
The Dolphins reliance with vets during the Wanstasch years doomed the Dolphins to what you see today. Nick Satan knew what was going to happen with this team, why do you think he high tailed it outta Dade County. This team desperartly needed to rebuild. In order to rebuild, which the Dolphins clearly needed to do, you have to divest yourself of big veteran contracts. The Dolphins failed to do that. They would go out and get a guy like Culpepper and you see how that turned out. The new Regime knew that tough times were ahead. The got rid of alot of popular vets and replaced them with rookies. This trail by fire however distasteful, was needed.
The upshot of this terrible year is that the Dolphins will break the cycle of dealing draft picks and finally give the team a foundation of youth. Too bad Cam Cameron shot his mouth off about competeting this year. It's going to either get him fired or he will have a severe reductions of his duties. Hello Bill Parcells!!!
GREAT ! MERRY CHISTMAS to all ! And here's this week's top stories.
1) Dolphins defeat Ravens for their first win.
2) Dolphins Jason Taylor named to Pro Bowl.
3) Dolphins Cleo Lemon named AFC Offensive Player of the Week
4) Parcells accepts top job with Dolphins.

The bloodsuckers in Vegas are advising people to take the over, by the way.
yeah....>sigh<...i know the writing has been on the walls for a few years past now. I just never thought they would be this bad. They suck donkey balls. They suck Donkey Kong's balls! Do you realize that they participated in the longest zero-to-zero game ever? ....and then Pittsburgh wins it at the last minute. The most miserable game I've ever seen.

You reference that miserable game??? Nobody could have or should have won that game. It embarrassed us losing but the hometeam got some crappy calls their way that help them to get close to kick a field goal.
Heinze Field is a municipal staduim. Two high schools and a Pitt university used that field before the Monday night game. It was torn up! The NFL knew the field was crap but their contract with Espn said that thegame had to happen regardless of the condition of the field. It was BS all around!!!

I watched parts of that game (Pitt/Miami), and I have to admit it was amusing for me, since I really didn't care about either team very much.
I remember the spread was unbelievably 25 points when Philly played them, and Philly almost won. I am going to guess the spread will be 24 points.
Anyone know for sure yet?
well...looks like The Dolphin's undefeated season is preserved. Too bad that's the only good news they've had in the past 5 years....

So random: I had an interview at NSU yesterday, where the dolphins do their training...
We were going by the field and the tour guide pointed it out as "the place where the dolphins practice" to which I replied "so..they spent what? 10 minutes there during the last off season?"
...yeah. tour guide =/= amused. heh.
