They'll have some guy appear in the corner just before, point to the back of the room, and shout "hey viewer, look over there".
That should sort that problem out for all but the most intelligent and alert of viewers. So maybe three people will see it. Acceptale statistics.

One of the benefits of being on Pacific Time now is that all the sp--ts are over by the time those early shows start.
The Simpsons with Alan Moore made me laugh in a way I haven't laughed since... well, since Futurama. Which meant something at that point.
I didn't see it.
I did hear an interview with Alan Moore on Fanboy Radio a year or so ago that was pretty cool. He seemed like a really nice down-to-earth guy. He didn't give off the creepy vibe like I expected.

I wish you were as well.
See, I don't think it will. I kinda like what they're doing, actually leaving them together and happy. "Will they/won't they" relationships never turn out like that, mostly because they're boring. But I think they've managed to continue making them both very amusing without the relationship watering them down.
That's my thinking exactly.
Everyone expects it. So, why be predictable? After all, no one expected them to actually put Pam and Jim together either -- no show does that.
If anything, they may go the 'annoying couple at the office' route with them if they HAD to do something.
And besides, if people hung around the X-Files for a few seasons to see if they'd ever hook up, people will stick around to see if Pam and Jim ever split.
SimiBoyz

Yay. Stupid Coucilors at w--k. Just seen (for the millionth time) one of the fire engines struggling to get onto the main road because of parked cars - meanwhile someone is burning to death. The council's excuse is letting cars park in the way eases road congestion.
How this w--ks or one can rationally come to this comparison eludes me.
I also like how
Jim and Pam are finally together, pretty much at the expense of every other relationship on the show. Nobody gets to be happy but them. Don't know if that's deliberate, but it's pretty funny to me.
Yep, that's my thinking too :D
Everyone that was pulling for Jim and Pam to get together can now transfer it to Dwight and Angela.
That felt like a return to the super-awkwardness of early season 1. And I kinda dug it this time.
My favorite this season, and maybe of all, is the one where Jim's left in charge (with the birthdays). Jim's presented as nearly infallible at times, so it's good to give him something like this every now and then.
Taren was worried about that episode..
She thought it meant Jim was destined to become Michael and that'd lead to them breaking Jim and Pam up.
I doubt Jim would let it get to that for starters, and like above, I think they're going to go against expectations with the relationship.

My one biggest complain is with the Michael / Jan relationship
Even knowing that it's for the sake of humor, it's completely unbelievable that Michael wouldn't have been fired long, long before now. Chicago Hope did the same thing, back when it was on -- in every episode someone was removing someone's brain, dropping a human heart, or something else that would have led to a massive investigation, but that never happened.

I can see that.
But it doesn't bother me too much.
I think that corporate sees that Michael's branch apparently gets results despite his unusual management skills. After all, we've often heard that Dwight is their top salesman, and Jim was a serious contender for the job at corporate last season.
I think David (Jan's boss) sees Michael as fiercely loyal and as someone so completely invested in his job that firing him would completely destroy him. Michael sees himself in his role as boss. Given that his branch is apparently succeeding despite him, corporate avoids the ugliness of firing him almost as a means of pitying him. As David said in that deposition episode, Michael is a nice guy. He's earnestly loyal.

I'm about 50-50 on him overall I guess. I really enjoyed his early stuff on ASM (particularly the way he handled the whole Aunt May reveal). Rising Stars didn't really hold my interest, and Supreme whatever seemed like almost exactly the same story again.

In the beginning, yeah, but after 100 issues, it started blending together. I'd like to have seen him grow some artistically.
Add to that, the fact that his art was practically everywhere you looked cause of licensing.. I burned out on it, and the constant "Oh hey, Ultimate Stiltman/Puma/etc"
It's a good thing Marvel is consistent with the trades on the Ultimate line.. it reads a lot better back to back from lie-barry visits.

I agree that Bagley occasionally suffers from Byrnism (characters basically looking the same) but I thought he had a level of storytelling in his work that you didn't see in most current mainstream artists today. You could take the word balloons away from some of those pages and could still make a story out of it. That's why I'm a Bagely fan.

I used to be like that, but I can't pinpoint exactly when I no longer did that.
I'm now picking up what I like from creators I enjoy, but not everything they do. Maybe it's because of the library, maybe it's because of so many creators doing fifty billion side projects.
As weird as it sounds, I barely collected any Bendis stuff for a while there.
Maybe it's knowing that a lot of the popular creators tend to get collected more often.
I dunno.. just throwing it out there to see if anyone else has been doing something similar lately.
I tend to follow creators, not characters. But I can hardly think of a single creator that hasn't written something that I don't care for. And it ebbs and flows as my tastes evolve. Four or five years ago, I would have listed Busiek, Bendis, Waid and PAD near the top of my list of favorite creators. Now, they're all on my "hit and miss" list, and whether I buy it depends on the product involved.
At present, I'm loving the work of Brubaker, Fraction, and Johns. I'm sure that'll probably change, too, as time goes on.

Yeah, I tend to follow creators more, but I've learned not to pick up everything they do either. I usually like most of Millar's superhero stuff, but not alll his creator owned stuff. Vice versa with Ellis, almost all his creator stuff I tend to give a try and dig, but not all his capes stuff. I've alway bought pretty much all of Bendis' work though, sometimes a little disappointed, but not enough that I won't give something new a try, and lately I think he's been a blast.
Now someone like Johns got me into following some characters I probably wouldn't have, because he's so damn good. For instance the Flash a while back, and especially the whole Green Lantern world. Never even bothered with it before, now its some of my favorite stuff.
And then there's Bru, I've tried everything he's done, but sometimes its stellar, sometimes doesn't work for me. Captain America = brilliant. His DD run so far, eh, I bailed out. It was ok, but his take on the character hasn't kept me on a book with a character and cast I really like otherwise.
So what I'm saying is I'm all over the place. thank you

Other than that I like to follow my fave creators around to a limit. I won't pick up everything JMS, or Bendis, or Millar and a few others unless I have an interest in the characters they take on. I may give them an issue or two if i fancy like trying it out and see if they can get me interested.

I'm really not specifically criticizing the guy. Not exactly.
It's just that... when I got back into comics, there was this pack of writers that I was really into that all seemed to come up around the same time: Bendis, Millar, Ellis and later BKV and Kirkman. Somehow I lost one of them. I guess it's the sickness thing, which I didn't know a whole lot about... but like I said about Busiek before, it's possible for me to not even notice stuff like that. I just somehow completely lost interest in a guy whose w--k really excited me only a few years ago.

Earmuffs, AAlgar:
I watched their last game with OU. They had the opportunity to win but made too many mistakes and OU capitalized on it. It's going to be a tough game. If the offense plays like it did last Saturday, and I hope that it does, then they'll have a fighting chance. The only thing that worries me is that Mizzou's defense won't be able to storm over the OU offensive line like they did Kansas. It's going to be a close game, but if Mizzou can avoid the mistakes they made last time and try not to pull off too many fancy plays, they'll have a chance. And I expect the city of Columbia to explode in delight around me. Hopefully there's not drive-by shootings like there've been the past couple weeks.

There was seriously a shooting two blocks away from where I live, right next to an elementary school, the one my daughter will have to attend if we don't move in three years. They've had to lockdown the school twice now because of incidents going on there. Apparently a turf war has broken out and there's been a string of violent incidents occurring in the area. I'm not too concerned but at the same time I have a two year-old so it makes me nervous about anything happening on my doorstep, you know?

Pilot (1x01)
* MacGyver defuses a highly advanced nuclear warhead using a simple paper clip to short circuit the timing device, which stops right at the last second.
* MacGyver makes a "Rocket Truster" by hitting a flare gun with a Rock, launching him and a man he rescues off of a mountain where he later releases a parachute and makes a swift getaway.
* MacGyver smashes a pair of binoculars, removing a prism to deflect a laser beam back to the emitter and destroys it. He also wipes his optics clean with bare fingers. Time index: 21:00. As a side note, the episode states that the laser is a carbon dioxide laser. These operate at a wavelength of approximately 10 micrometers (far infrared) and are thus invisible no matter how much smoke is in the air. Also the wavelength of a carbon dioxide laser is readily absorbed by normal glass and optics.
*
Chemistry
MacGyver plugs a sulfuric acid leak with chocolate. He states that chocolate contains lactose and sucrose (chemically C12H22O11), which are disaccharides. The acid reacts with the sugars to form elemental carbon and a thick gummy residue.
*
Physics
When MacGyver needs to move a large steel beam blocking his way, he cuts the end off a fire hose, ties a knot in the hose, and runs the hose under the beam. He then turns on the water, and the hydraulic pressure in the hose causes the beam to lift enough for him to shift it out of the way.
*
Chemistry
Bombs
MacGyver creates a bomb to open a door using a gelatin cold capsule containing sodium metal, which he then places in a glass container filled with water. When the gelatin dissolves in the water, the sodium reacts violently with the water and causes an explosion which blows a hole in the wall.
* MacGyver hints that he knows how to make a bomb or otherwise get through a solid wall with a stick of gum, via a sarcastic remark from Barbara Spencer. "Don't tell me you know how to make a bomb out of a stick of chewing gum" "Why, you got one?"
