For only $39.99 this week on the bay!! I'm glad I waited a day, I was this close to buying one for $70.00, and when I logged back on to actually purchase it, I tried searching one more time and one had been listed from what I can tell, only minutes before. Very excited. I'm upset that I waited on the Magneto bust from the same seller though. He had it listed at $79.99 for the Buy It Now price. It sold too quickly for me (had to pace myself on the impulse buys). The next lowest listed one is something like $120. Ah well. I consolidated myself by finding an original Daredevil bust at $39.99 as well. Considering my local comic shop carries new busts for an average price of $59.95 - $84.95, I'm thinking I made off fairly well!!

Patience is a virtue!! Managed to score a Magneto bust for $74.99 today! Whoo!! I know it's only five bucks cheaper, but still!! Now I can stop kicking myself for passing up the previous one!

A great steal compared to the other deals going on eBay right now. There's one where the bidding is at $76.50 with three days left, and the cheapest buy it now option is $148.50!

Also snagged a Bullseye Bust (I'm playing catch-up with phase I at the moment) for a nice $45.00. Considering my LCS sells new busts at the cheapest for $56.95, I think I did not too badly.

My credit cards aren't thanking me, but I'll get over it! :)

Well, it's give and take, kinda.

Let's put it this way. Before I actually hit up eBay, the LOWEST I EVER paid for a bust was $56.95, and that was for Crystal.

Generally the prices of busts range from about (keep in mind, I can only guage the prices in Calgary, and that's only from three stores that carry them) $69.95 - $84.95 on average. They can go up like crazy though. I haven't seen Dragon Man for less that $119.95 here.

However, every once in awhile you can score a great deal like anywhere else. In another thread I posted about the Nova mini-bust (Rich Ryder) going for only $39.95 or $49.95 at a store. I might pick it up just to sell it as the average price on eBay seems to be about $70.00 (if it's still there).

Generally I'm the kinda guy that doesn't like the wait time of eBay or ordering online, so I'll just pick them up from the LCS.

It's the older busts I scour eBay for, and it's amazing that most of them I'm getting for prices cheaper than what I pay for the new busts at the LCS.
