Not Quite Human is the name of a series of young adult novels by Seth McEvoy about a scientist who creates an android son. Jonas Carson names him Chip and he passes off as a normal junior high school boy. His daughter, Becky, is brought in on the secret, while Dr. Carson poses as a science teacher to keep an eye on his "son."

The books were later made into a series of made-for-TV films for The Disney Channel, starring Alan Thicke as Dr. Jonas Carson, Robyn Lively as his daughter Becky, and Jay Underwood as Chip. Chip is created to look age 17 at the start of the film series, as opposed to 13 in the novels.

The movie:

Dr. Jonas Carson (Alan Thicke) creates an android that looks just like a human 17-year-old boy, and he "adopts" him as his son and as an older brother to Becky (Robyn Lively), who names him Chip. After the Carsons move to a new town, Chip (Jay Underwood) is enrolled in high school alongside Becky. Dr. Carson also begins teaching science at the school, so he can keep a close watch over his son's progress.

Dr. Carson's former employer, Gordon Vogel (Joseph Bologna), seeks to apprehend Carson's functional android, believing that he is entitled to this advanced technology since it was developed while Carson was under a contract that he didn't fulfill. Vogel has plans to turn Chip into a war-machine military project.

She took a break from these studies in 2005 to return to acting.[4] As of 2006, she is completing work on her thesis, an investigation of Prader-Willi syndrome.[5]

She is married to Michael Stone. She gave birth to their first child, a son, on October 10, 2005. Bialik is now involved in Conservative Judaism.

I remember that dude in the bottom right corner was the king of Mushroomland in the Valient Super Mario comics. I still have my hardcovers of those.

Crystal Pepsi was crap though. Grand Rapids, MI use to be a testing ground for new products, and I had it there, don't know how it leaked to the rest of the country. But it did provide the inspiration for Crystal Gravy, so there's that.
