This fucking game is ridiculous. I've watched the Packers get away with a half dozen bullshit penalties while the Vikes have been called for everything and even shit they didn't do. Gotta love when you're receiver gets grabbed and tossed to the ground while never touching the defender but he gets called for offensive interferance.

That's not to say that my pathetic club hasn't played like shit today (or this season) because they have. I just really HATE the Packers and Favre and how revered they are.

On second glance I dunno about AP now, but at first it looked like the typical torn ACL and regardless I'm sure he'll miss a few games seeing how he limped off the field.

Took a nasty hit to his right knee as he was running, made him flip and land on his head. Laid on the field for several minutes and limped off the field with help from trainers. First look I thought torn ACL immediately but there has been talk of "deep thigh bruise" and either way I doubt he'll play any time soon. Fucking sucks.

I was watching your game through the first quarter before I tuned into the Browns/Steelers game.

Your frustration should be with your lack of offense surrounding AP. Your WRs are about as bad as you can get in the NFL, your QB situation is a train wreck. The Defense has had some good games this year but then they take the day off like today. The Packers are a better team whether you want to accept that or not, and AP is the only bright spot on that team of yours.

I dunno about "fine" but he doesn't appear as seriously injured anymore. I'm sure he won't be back today and it wouldn't shock me if he didn't play next week either.

All true points. Sidney Rice has a lot of potential and Bobby Wade is a decent 3rd receiver but we lack a solid # 1 guy. Ferguson and Williamson flat out suck. There is a LOT of talk here about getting Free Agent WR Larry Fitzgerald from AZ in the off season (he's got ties to MN) to give us a solid # 1 starter. Even with that we need a good to studly QB. I've heard talk about Derrick Anderson and I'd do everything in my power to get him if I could. The problem with the defense is that they really blow when they're on the field all the time like today, it's been ridiculous how little the offense has seen the ball. Otherwise the run defense is usually top notch and the pass defense is better than stats show.

Well it will be an interesting year for QBs after the season. The Browns would be idiots to left DA go and ruin the chemistry that's going on right now, and the best problem to have is 2 good QBs. I could see McNabb darting from Philly, Garcia is still playing for a home, Pennington, Lemon all of the Falcon's QBs, Boller, Orton, could all be moving elsewhere.

Fitz would be sweet as a WR option.

Yeah, the Dolphins coulda won it, that was the scariest part. Buffalo didn't bury them when they had the opportunities. When Gaines dropped a guaranteed touchdown, I was a little worried. But we rallied back. Next week we got the pats.

I'm making the statement right now: I will not get to watch the game, as I have work, HOWEVER, in the unlikely scenario that Buffalo does wreck the Pats' perfect season, I hereby swear that I will be a season ticket holder next year. Guaranteed.

Wow, what an embarrassment for the Vikings. Granted there were some BS penalties called on the Vikes (2, maybe 3 in total) but it was a 34-0 win; you can't blame the refs for such a huge blowout.

Going into the game, my biggest worry was stopping AP, and that was done in spades. My next worry was the Pack getting a running game, that was done in spades too - Grant really stepped up and played like an all-pro this game. Great form, great reading the D-line, put on the speed to gain the extra yards. Hopefully Grant and the blocking remains consistent for the rest of the year.

If I were a Vikes fan, I would want Childers out ASAP.

Everyone had the Saints slated for the NFC Championship before the freaking season started. And NO one was giving the Lions any chance at the beginning of the seasons through today on this board at least, except me. They're still in position to battle for a playoff spot, more so than the Aints. And remember, it's only halftime. If anyone who has underperformed to this point including today it's the Saints.

:? Why so defensive? If your team has any talent you won't have to get so crabby about it. If they are a good team they'll bounce back. End of Story. Everyone has bad days. That's why I'm not getting all bent out of shape about people making fun of the Saints. I have FAITH in my team. I believe they still have shot and that's why I'm fine (even if I am a little bummed)

Not defensive at all. Just call it as I see it. A team earns the paper tiger status when they come in with some illustrious stats and get their face punched in. Like Ohio State's football team when they played Florida. And I'm a Browns fan, a bit of a sympathetic Lions fan because I used to live in Michigan, but I did pick them to get into the playoffs which I'm still convinced they'll do it.

No Faith loss, just think it's funny when a fan of an underachieving and underperforming team like the Saints calls another team who has for the most part, overachieved and surprised everyone up to this point. That's the end of that story.

Yeah. Beating the Broncos 44-7 is a great feat. But I haven't seen much overachieving besides that myself. But whatever *shrugs* You can diss the saints all you want. They were a horrible team for a good 30 years. At least we know what our problem is now. We are an uneven team plain and simple. Just because I want the Saints to make it doesn't mean I think they are the best team. I don't think the Lions are all that and that's my opinion, I'm not saying the Saints are the greatest team ever, they aren't. Hell they aren't even CLOSE.

The Lions have -16 rushing yards.

They put the UG in Ugly. And it's a shame because The Lions have been doing better in balancing the offense for the last three wins. A LOT of turnovers in this game. A Lot. But the Defense continues to be Jekyl and Hyde this year. Some games they are the difference makers other times, they're the very reason they lose.

They'll bounce back. The important part of losing is learning what you did wrong and improving on it.

Eli Manning is my boy getting in that INT right as the game clock expired.

Seriously though, they took that delay penalty in the red zone and came away from that drive with all three times out. There is something seriously wrong there with Eli, the offensive coordinator, the head coach or all three.

As the Lions-Cardinals game comes to an end, I say to the wife, "I wonder if Kurt Warner and Jon Kitna are going to get together and talk about God now."

And what's the last shot of the telecast? Warner and Kitna kneeling down next to each other getting ready to pray.

Eli just is not a consistent QB. I've known that since his Ole Miss days. Now he is my local boy and all and I'm glad he's in the big leagues but he's just not right for the Giants.

Given that division they've still got a good chance, hell the NFC overall looks like anyone can win. Good thing I never bet on games. Lions have to run if they're gonna make the playoffs.

Manning has more interceptions in this game than Tom Brady has thrown all year.

Apparently with anything less than 3 all-pro receivers on the field Manning can't do very much.

Would LOVE to see what Peyton's career numbers would look like if he had Brady's receivers the last 5 years.
