Honestly, I just really want to be able to play with you guys online, and I don't have the capital to support an X-Box 360 and a live account.

TIP thread Brawl will rock for sure.

I honestly don't know.

If the offer is close to what I make now, I suppose I'll take it. But then they can send me to Charleston (or anywhere else) anytime they want to. :?

If they do that, make sure they comp you some Waffles.

So I loved the latest issue of ASS. But after reading it I realized that as much as I love 1-shots, I would really love to see a more dependent story arc going on in the book with some cliff-hangers.

How's the HD version of the Dawn remake?

I haven't gotten it yet, but I've been hovering around DeepDiscountDVD.com, convincing myself it's worth it. I think I need to give up any hope of ever seeing Return of the Living Dead on HD.

That is my inclination. Except that I spent far too long unemployed, and the prospect of ending up back on my ass with no steady income is not a pleasant one.

On the other hand... this is a big company. I can put in for a lot of stuff in the next six months, and I don't have to take the very first offer that I get.

On the mutant third hand... what if this is the only offer I get?

Not sure which way I'd go either, though monetary compensation would have to be found out to really make a decision, especially with the C threat hanging. Hope it's substantial enough and they never send you there again.

Well, one way or the other, you'll have some time between the interview and the (possible) offer to think about it. Just do what feels right, Especially when it comes to that "go to (place)" stuff.

Well, if I take it, I will almost certainly be sent again. The only way I avoided it this last time was by playing the "it's not in my contract" card.

One of the little background motifs on BSG is that most things that are square in our world are sort of octagonal. There are no corners on their paper or display screens.

* In the Luana Beach bar, Lokelani mentions one of her boyfriends was called Peter and went "down under" to make a movie trilogy for three years, and she was the make-up artist. This is a reference to Peter Jackson, and the making of The Lord of the Rings film trilogy in New Zealand.
* In the Tiki Temple on Maui Island, Brian takes what he thinks is neuralizer and says he has "seen one of these in the movies". He is referring to Men in Black, and even puts on a pair of sunglasses when attempting to use it, just like in the film.
* When talking to Joshua on Maui island, when you get Joshua agitated he pleads with you not to try and take his Space:1999 trading cards.
* In the Tiki Temple on Maui island, Brian finds a body partially crushed under a spherical stone. On top of the stone is a Fedora hat, and lying next to the body is a bullwhip and leather bag. Brian comments that he 'couldn't be a very good archaeologist, an obvious reference to Indiana Jones, and specifically the trap at the beginning of Raiders of the Lost Ark when Indiana Jones tries to retrieve the Hovito Idol. Brian himself comments that he is going "To play to Indiana Jones" when he's about to use the whip for movement.
* During the transmission from the Trantorians to Professor Simon, the room the Trantorians are in bears some resemblance to both the carbon freezing chamber on Bespin in The Empire Strikes Back and parts of the Death Star, specifically the Emperors throne room.
* In a point of the game, Brian is in the treasure hold of a pirate ship, some of the items there are from the first game such as the crucifix, and others are well-known pieces of art such as the Mona-Lisa.
* The final chapter of the game, Hidden Beacon of Avernus, appears to be almost entirely lifted from the prolific Monkey Island series of adventure-games.
* One of the questions asked in the game is on a pirate named Captain Swallow which is proclaimed to escape an island using turtles tied to his leg and not being saved by a ship of rum smuggler's. This is most-likely to be a reference on Jack Sparrow from the trilogy of Pirates of the Caribbean.
* Otto, the pilot of the aircraft at the beginning states that he had flown during WWII, strangely enough his bag that falls from the treetops has an eagle symbol similar to that used in the German armed forces of the time.

Sweet, I'll take a look at those mixes when they're up. The second half of the year has been lacking in new releases. The new Iron and Wine is great as well, but that's a bit old by now anyways.

Dude, I can't get into that Iron And Wine after having that pristine soundboard recording of Sam solo doing the new stuff. The actual album sounds so overproduced to me now.

I did up that live show as individual tracks, with fade in/outs if you need it.

I'm being watched, you know! The chair is against the wall! John has a long mustache! THE BANANA ATE THE MONKEY!!

Actually, the hold up is I get choked up when I think about thanking all you guys for your friendship, and that's the truth.

Jeez, we just want some basic facts, ideally wrapped in some YPJ-brand fucked-up anectdotes. Nobody axed for no "feelings."

Oh, man. I'd loooooove a copy of that one done up individually. I dig the copy you sent me, but that sounds so much better!

The new album is different in terms of production values, I liked the way that the Woman King ep used a bit more production, but The Shepard's Dog does sound a bit much at times.

I still dig it though.

Lemme think. I work for a medium size law firm now, I get our documents ready for lawsuit. If we don't have it, I get it. If it's wrong, I fix it.

They're all filed on the hard drive as numbers, so it's all really boring. I can read them and crack up if I have to, but usually there's no time.

I make a bit less money (at first), but I have more to do. The hours go by fast. I'm not good at it yet, but I'm trying. Everyone here is nice.

I'm pretty broke, but getting back to normal.

I love the Excel program now.

I do have some more to say about the Library, but it's gonna have to wait for a bit. I have some pretty funny stories. It's not over yet, and it's gonna be pretty spectacular!

I'll get on it! Possibly Wednesday night or Saturday!

There are four B-Sides for the Shepherd's Dog album - I'll tack those on as well. Some are quite fine.

Jessica is a big Iron And Wine fan, during my sabattical I tracked down every single song they've done for her. They have a bunch of non-album tracks.

Hahah!!

For those that don't know, my stuffy HR lady had to say "Horatio Fellatio" under oath at my hearing. My Union guy also got her to say "cunt" in reference to a different hearing (not to do with me). So she got flustered minutes later when she mentioned my "girlfriend" Jessica and I objected, and the HR lady corrected herself and said "I suppose I don't know the true nature of their fellationship. I MEAN 'RELATIONSHIP'!"

It was awesome. My gales of laughter probably cost me the hearing.

I almost wanted to, because of my odd Heather Graham crush (she ain't usually my type, but she does it for me nonetheless; probably the Twin Peaks connection). Also because Oldman almost certainly chews the scenery and that has to be a bit of fun.

Whenever I look to see who's playing on xbox.com, I hardly ever see anyone playing Halo. I'm not planning on buying CoD4 just because of the super short single player. Single player is still most of the reason I buy games, just because I don't know how long people will keep going on multi.

And I think we were the only TIPsters with GH3 to begin with.
