do you stay on your side of the bed, or do you sleep in the middle?

I was really hoping this was going to be one of those threads where some guy asks something like "When your significant other is out of town, is it okay to have sex with other women?"

As is, this thread is disappointing.

Fuck, I hog the shit out the muthafucka. (Spoken as Sam Jackson).

Really. When my wife went for a weekend in May to San Fran to visit her sister I sprawled out to take up the entire Queen size bed we share. It was awesome.

I naturally sleep on just one side of the bed, no matter how big or if I share it with my S.O., so... Just my side. :)

My wife was at her folks last night (she's going with her mom to a temple early this morning). I stayed on my side.

Sorry to disappoint. Next time I'll cheat on my wife for your benefit.

You don't actually have to cheat on her. You just have to be morally naive enough to not know if something like that is acceptable and dumb enough to come to this board for advice.

I sleep in the middle whenever I can as soon as she's out of bed.

To be fair, she does the same.

I sleep in the middle regardless. Noble has slept on the very edge of the bed for years.

Once in a while I kind of push on him to see if he'll fall in the floor. :)

Oh shut up! He'd do the same to me!

My side . . . our cats sleep on his side, when Taxman takes the kids to LA or something like that.

I was a full bed stretcher outer, but then I dated a girl for a year, and I became a "this is my side, that is your side" person. The next girl I dated, I refused to sleep on the opposite side, and once we were hanging out on opposite sides, and I made us switch places.

Now that I'm single again...I still sleep on "my side".

Me too. It feels weird to stretch out. I feel like she might come home and need to lay down, even though she obviously won't.

I sleep at an angle across the bed. It is easier to fall asleep watching TV that way.

I never sleep in one room/place very long...so it doesn't matter. Usually, because of Crappy Tunnel and other aches and pains, I sleep on the sofa or on this captain's bed thingy we have in our tv room. I also sleep all night to the tv (usually), and hubby can't - so again, I kinda sleep all over the house so he can get a decent night's sleep. HOWEVER...when he is gone for the night - which is really rare - I will sleep in the bed - ALL OVER the bed - because then I can sprawl and find a comfy position.

I blame it all on really cheap mattresses growing up - if the bed isn't like jumping into a pile of mushy mashed potatoes, forget it...I just can't get comfortable. So, a nice saggy sofa feels better to me than an expensive mattress.

I really way over explained myself. :p

I naturally gravitate toward the other person until im pretty much wrapped around them.

I'm a nightmare for those people who are "this is my side, and this is your side" types.

There's definitely overlap with my wife and I, but I move a lot in my sleep, so if she wrapped around me or vice versa, she'd get woken up all the time.

Hey. Whaddya know... My significant other is currently out of town. I know I woke up on my side of the bed... but I don't recall if I fell asleep in the middle or not. I'll have to make sure to take note tonight.

I agree. Sleeping alone sucks.

My last girlfriend used to scratch my back EVERY night before we fell asleep. That was nice.

Sometimes I wonder if breaking up with her was a good idea or not...
