With this whole skrull invastion thing, which has been hinted at but never really carried through like in Alan Davis' X-Men run when the time travelling X-Men found a plant (just before Galactus ate it mind you) filled with Skrulls training to be heroes or the Skrull Kill Krew mutated by eating skrull cow burger hunting and killing Skrulls...so where the hell are they and why didn't they beat Echo to the punch with Elektra? WHERE'S THE KREW AT?!

I'm pretty sure the Skrulls they ate were posioning them and they're probably all dead.

That was THE Skrull throneworld, not just any planet. The Skrulls always take the hit for the team in every story and lose ground over and over. That's why what is set to happen is so cool.

I re-read Skrull Kill Krew yesterday and I don't know if that holds up anymore. For it to be Morrison and Millar I didn't think it was terribly noteworthy. I would imagine the the Skrull Kill Krew is likely quite dead as they were capable of seeing through the shapechanging (which was kinda weird because its shapechanging not an imaging thing like in They Live). The whole time I was trying to work out what happened to the alien bodies because they were just strewn about in plain sight. There was no hiding it. So I don't know how to accommodate that detail.

I nearly had an anerysm when they were mentioned in Heroes For Hire during the Civil War arc.
