View Full Version : Awesome make-up artists: The Wolfe Brothers
One of my buds was asking me what the hell is up with my crazy avatar images-- you know, the one that looks like the skin-less guy from Hellraiser?

The Hellraiser dude is sourced from a picture I took with the Wolfe brothers back in 2004. Nick and Brian were attending DragonCon that year, and I just had to get a pic with them. They really stood out (which is hard to do at that show!)

Pretty cool huh? These guys are really great artists, and I see them a lot at Orlando and DragonCon. It always disturbing to talk to them though.... because they are twins....and they are wearing scary make-up. Anyway, the Wolfe Bros. website is:

Check out their links "artist corner" and "Photos"

So is it safe to assume you're a fan of the Hellraiser series? :o
what, nobody wanted to dress up as Pinhead ;)
I think they went with their own character creations here (except for the skinless dude), so that's probably why there is no Pin head. I always liked Chatterbox. Anyway, to answer your question: One year for Halloween I did a Hellraiser scene on the roof of my house! I built their bodies with 2 x 4's from Home Depot, and then we got their clothing at Goodwill (we painted it all black to look like leather)
Hey, is anybody here good with editing movies? I have my Hellraiser scene on a disc, but have no idea how to reduce the size and then post it online. If anyone wants to do it, send me a message!

You know what greg? Im taking digital video this semester in school & we're using software called Final Cut Pro. That software is amazing & I hear they even used it for movies like Black Snake Moan & 300. What scene from what movie do you wanna posts? I have the 2nd & 3rd in my DVD collection & I can EASILY get any other Hellraiser movie in my line of work:) If your just trying to reduce the size though & post it online, theres software to convert DVD's to IPOD's or Zune's. I did this one:

Hi Stephen, I'm sorry I didn't word my question correctly. I have a home video that is on a DVD. I'd like to post it here, but there's two problems:
1 It is too big at 141 MB
2 It is not a file format we can play normally because it was made by a video camera (file extentions like .VOB .IFO + .BUP). I think it is a situation of doing a "video capture" from my DVD, and then saving it as an .AVI or .MPG file or something like that. I have no idea how to do this.
Once I get this done, I can host it at Utube and people can berate me all day long.

LOL I'll look into it & see if anybody at school could help. One suggestion I can think of is the PQ DVD to IPOD Video Suite. If you can play the DVD on your DVD pllayer & the computer then that software should be able to convert it. What it does is it plays the DVD & you set your prefrences like video & audio quality, then it records it & saves the recorded portion as an mp4 format. If that doesnt hellp, lemme know!:-?

That sounds like exactly what I need! Problem... how much does that software cost?

At download.com, they have a trial version you can download & it'll let you record anywhere between 5-10 minutes of footage. Problem is, you never know where it'll stop recording before it ask you if you want to buy it. It could be once it reaches a certain memory limit. I believe it's $40 for unlimited recording. I just might buy it soon.
