My sister is selling a bunch of magazines for school, and I saw the Comic Buyers Guide in there.

Now I don't usually order stuff, but I wanted to help my sister out a little and since that was the only thing in there that really caught my interest, I was wondering if any of you buy the magazine and if it's worth it.

It definitely skews to an older audience.

Lots of articles and celebration of Bronze, Silver and Golden Age comics and creators.

It's okay.

Decent and varied reviews.

If you can get it at a discount, it may be worthwhile.

What type of articles does it generally have?

In other words, why should I buy this magazine ABOUT comics when I could buy just comics instead?

They certainly worship at the altar of the "good old days".

They were one of the publications having a holy shit fit about The Illuminati because it "violated the rich history of the Marvel Universe"... Or some such nonsense...

Yeah, such a shame the grandiose Shakespearean majesty of Secret Wars II: The Jheri Curl Strikes BAck was violated.

Let's just say I'm only 30 and I totally dig this magazine. But then I still listen to Pink Floyd too.
