View Full Version : Ben Foster Is A Great Fucking Actor

Watched Alpha Dog. It was surprisingly good. It was a pretty disheartening film, not because of what happens, but because they were all kids. There's one scene when a guy goes over to kill another guy, and doesn't find him in his house. So he takes a dump on his carpet instead. It's really good. And Justin Timberlake wasn't half bad, he was actually pretty decent (although his character was a bit annoying at first).

Anyways, Ben Foster was fucking excellent. I've been hearing everybody rave about 3:10 To Yuma but in this, he was at his best. I'd put him on the league of sociopaths like Begbie from Trainspotting, or Joe Pesci in Goodfellas. Just check out these three scenes. He's like a coked up Johnny-boy.

he was bad fuckin ass in 3:10 To Yuma. scary and crazy as fuck..He is indeed a great actor. can't wait to see him as the 'stranger' in 30 days of night.

I saw 3:10 to Yuma last week. It's a great movie. Really well done. And Ben Foster steals every damn scene he's in. Just does some wonderful work in the movie.

Been a fan of his (and the lovely Jewel Staite) since Flash Forward. Glad to see him getting his props. :thumb:

i like him in Freaks and geeks. I really thought he was handicapped when i first saw him on there!

But that's not a jab at him...well it sorta is. But I'm going to watch those youtube scenes now and make my FINAL judgement.

No one's mentioned Liberty Heights yet? Not only is Foster one of the stars (the other being Adrien Brody), but it's also one of the tremendous series of Barry Levinson Baltimore films.

Liked him in Six Feet Under, those first two clips actually made me want to see Alpha Dog, then that third scene kinda took that feeling away.

he tripped me out in that show. you could just tell that the dude took his acting seriously even back then.

i remember that flick.
i caught it one time and never saw it again. i wanted to rewatch it but it was on like abc family late at night and i've not seen it since.
