Ok I'm new.
I appreciate you will all be talking about this years from now when you tell your significant others that you knew me when I was modest and subtle. "You know? He used to be such a great guy, quiet, introspective."
I'll even give you the "almost recognizable yet short of legible" signature when you mention you knew me when.

I'm curious about the COMIC CREATOR BOARDS. What's involved? I'd like to get mine up now so the minions can get a real time look at greatness in action. Sort of like the DVD Extra guys running around shooting piles of crap in case the movie is a hit and the fifth DVD release "Special Director/Producer/Craft Services" version is released with 12 seconds of extra credits and the 3 second extension of the sunset since "The moment always felt rushed".
I feel there is a place for this as others watch me strive for my rightful glory and ... More Glory while the corporate stooges insist on reducing my art to something marketable. It can include a section as I strive to find an artist capable of teasing out my vision from the scripts, many endless notes, and such amazing stick figures while playing the dance of "yes that's interesting, I'll work on something like that on a future issue but for now, the cat has four legs".
There can eventually be a section on those same Stick Figures released in a ultra glossy trashcan edition so the minimalists can pay extra to see the Genius in action and write in on how it was a work of art that was reduced by handing it over to someone lacking in the purity of the vision. (The Comicon-Exclusive will be Puce and sepia instead of black and white signed by the guy in Quebec who ran the presses that day)

Looking at the list it seems all your "Creators" are people who are in the industry, getting paid, producing work, part of the machine. I think if this a prime example of incredible short sightedness. You are missing out on those creators who have created work that has yet to be published, purchased, optioned, seen. You are missing out on the visionaries who "Have a great idea" and have just not been properly inspired to flesh it out. Being able to see the tree in the seed.

So, who do I talk to about getting myself set up for some shameless self promotion?:mistrust:

Cheers...

I don't understand, are you asking for your own board here? Bendis invites his friends and industry peers at his own discretion; the boards aren't open for applications. Sorry, but feel free to enjoy the community regardless. Welcome.

A well reasoned, calm, logical reply.
After such a posting that's the best you could do? I'm, well... Touched.

"invites his friends and industry peers at his own discretion"
Sounds a little like non-filial nepotism to me. :mistrust:
I though I'd provide an opportunity to avoid the whole difficult asking part and just offer up front to skip the whole thing but along with my modesty and humility I am, if nothing else, patient. I will await.
I'll accept your kind words, browse and then write something so influential even Todd McFarlane will admit the pictures could only provide a framework to the story.

Cheers...
