I was so bored a few minutes ago that I just started randomly googling the names of some of my ex-girlfriends. After about 3 minutes I got creeped out at myself and stopped. That was... odd.

Isn't it easy to be creepy on the internet? :p

What's odd is that my browser quit (unexpectedly, I'm told) when I clicked on this thread.
Maybe I should stop procrastinating and get to work.

I found my ex-wife's MySpace page, and it is a shrine to sadness.
Thanks to you I just did that. I don't remember how to spell many of their last names, though.

I once found out that an ex went from a Christian dance club chic to a goth Wicca girl with a creepy myspace page. And she's bi now.

that is not odd at all.
i'd venture to say that most anyone with internet access and a checkered romantic history (which would be pretty much anyone with internet access) has done it at some point or another.
if you were to, say, pay a private investigation service to track someone down, however, that might be a bit creepy.

Yeah, I've done that.
In fact, I'm convinced the whole reason for the existence of Myspace is to track ex-mates.

I actually had the reverse happen a couple years ago: my ex-girlfriend found me on myspace and sent me an email, saying she came across some articles about me and my comic books, which I'm pretty sure she wouldn't have found if she didn't google my name. I thought it was weird, but not creepy. I guess it depends on how far you take it.

That is kind of creepy.
Now I'm intrigued as to what I might find...
must resist temptation to Google...

I searched for my girlfriend's name on googles a few years back only to find a pornstar with the same name. For a brief moment I was disgusted and turned on at the same time. Then I was let down and happy at the same time. Weird.

These days it's silly NOT to Google the names of everyone you know! I google Pablo Diaz daily!
