Wizard Texas is really becoming one of my favorite cons. I've had a blast the last few years and it seems to get better every time. I'll be set up in Artist Alley with Punks, Beowulf, and Tag collected edition. Probably have a new sketchbook too.

Who's in?

Kritty is threatening to cook Gumbo and potato salad.

I will be there for at least one day (Probably Saturday) I will be flying in since my brother in law works for american and can get me a round trip for $50 or so. I have a buddy (lurker here) who will be coming down from Tulsa too.

Gumbo!

I'm planning on going. Haven't been to a major con this year...REALLY want to go to at least one.

Mostly it depends on if I can scrape up the cash in time to get a hotel room and get tickets.

I've still never been to a con. I guess I should really try and make it, but it's tough to leave the wife and kids for something like this . . .

Hmm... If I can scrape together some money, my girlfriend and I may head up there. Plus my brother's birthday is that weekend and he's up in that general area for school.

Doesnt matter to me. I like everything. Not sure about seafood off hand due to reheat and all, but what ever you think.

Is this generally a big news con? Because doing PBP of DC panels sort of takes the suck out of not being able to go. :)

Reheating a gumbo is the best thing for it. Trust me on that.

It always tastes better the second time around.

And yes not going this year makes me very very sad. This will be the first WWTX I have missed...

Not really, but it's all we got down here!

:( :( :( But... We were going to booth sit again.... :(

I was saying I was slightly concerned about re-heating seafood. Is it still ok?

Wouldn't the news be the same wether you're there or not? :D

I don't usually hear about stuff till I'm back from cons anyway. When I get home, I check the news sites to see what happened.

DragonCon's pretty much drained our convention funds, plus we're getting a fence built around our backyard before winter hits. So that's an unfortunate no for this year.

i look forward to this con every year. i will definitely be there. most likely at the viper comics booth and possibly at my own table. we'll see.

I might go, actually. My brother lives in the TX/NM area and I've been meaning to visit him, and he's thinking about going to this, and I could probably do some stuff for Newsarama while I'm there.

But mainly I want to hang out with ClintP.

I'll be there all 3 days. My cousin lives less than 20 miles away from the convention center and puts me up for the show. This will be the only show I have managed to get to this year due to my work schedule so I am bursting at the seams.

Just remember, NM and Dallas are still a ways off. I am in amarillo now and that is a 6 hour drive.

Also, AWESOME!

The more people that go the better. It should be awesome.

The lack of Pat, Jeffery, Tonia, and Bryan will be felt....but the show must go on and fun times will still be had.

Like I said...I'm gonna try to go this year. I'm gonna try to be there for all 3 days....so I'm gonna try to get a room. I'm also trying to talk a few other friends into going...seeing as they have never been to a Wizard World Convention.

Oh, I'll be there. And if there's a live art show going on, I think I'll be able to coax the wife into going as well.

But it stinks on ice that Pat's not going to be there.

Oh Sweet. Glad to see people who's art I like participating in more Live Art Shows. They are great.

I only hope that eventually I could be happy enough with my art to even ask to participate in one.
