Via Every Day Should Be Saturday (http://www.everydayshouldbesaturday.com/?p=3688), new Miami Hurricanes coach Randy Shannon has an interesting way to describe the fall training camp commoradery being developed in Coral Gables. Granted, Shannon is learning the ropes of being a head coach and hasn’t eased into the typical coach-speak of the seasoned vets. Just ask Graig Cooper and Javarris James, who’ll deal with some snickers from their teamates in the locker room. Shannon was asked the standard question of how Cooper was handling practice, and his response was interesting:
"I think Coop did a great job. He brought some some excitement to the team. And he’s a calm guy. He’s not an arrogant or flamboyant guy. Believe it or not, he and Javarris James are kind of like butt buddies."
Nothing. That’s what I got, just a simple “wow”. Although next time Shannon tells James to “hit the hole hard”…
