Here's the deal.

My wife is a teacher. Her laptop computer and her computers at school run Word 2003. My home computer doesn't have anything installed. It looks like I'll have to buy Office 2007.

How do we make the two formats compatible? If she does anything on 2007 nobody with 2003 will be able to work with it. I know there are plenty of choices but I need to cut through all of this and get the right (and easy) answer first.

So I turn to all of you. Help me!!

You want to save as an "older" doc file. That will get you going on any microsoft word version. You can also save it as a .rtf which is compatable through various word editors.

Wordpad ought to be able to open a Word '03 file.
