SDCC 2008, WWChi 2008, or Emerald City Con 2008

After years of WWPhilly, I really want to go to check out some of the other cons next year. Which would you say is the best of this list to check?

As a side note, if I were to go to Em City I wouldn't have to pay for room & board as one of my best friends lives out there and I could crash at her place. And WW Philly wouldn't cost any extra room or board either.

...but Chicago is pure comics.


I'd say San Diego if you want to have a real vacation and see some ocean and stuff. Looks gorgeous.

But if you wanna see some cool comic stuff without all the other bullshit leeching off of comics, I'd say Chicago. It's giant!


I think if I do a new one next year, it'll be Heroes. That looks to have a cool atmosphere and spirit.

Damn! I forgot Heroes con, which is closer to me (it's in NC right?) than SDCC, WWChi or Em City.

They pretty much are. SDCC is a cultural phenom though, but on the other hand WWC is where you get to hang out with all of us crazy bastards.

Personally, next year I think I'm leaning towards HeroesCon. I could give a fuck about announcements, I just wanna be submerged in comics and work on getting my sketchbook done more.

Definitely not Emerald City. I attended this year and it's just not up to par with San Diego, which is a true event. Way better panels.

I say if you want to hand out with people on this forum go to Chicago. Otherwise, go to San Diego. There is probably five times as much stuff at the show, and there is actually stuff to do beyond the doors of the convention hall.
