Hey Blair, This painting on mylar is very interesting. The whole piece seems to have a "wetlook" to it (especially the hand). This would probably be a great medium for doing water scenes...or slimey aliens perhaps? It might even help with doing a painted motion blur.
I'm not sure i want to know how long it took for oils to dry on mylar!!

It all depends on the amount of oil you mix with it . But it actually drys fast out of the tube.

Hey Blair, I don't know if we have a lot of art directors posting here--although you may hook up with someone doing their own indy book. Does anybody know where a good place to look for work is? I have heard tons of good things about Deviant art, but I've never posted there myself. Is it worth the effort?

You heard him Guys! Dose anybody have indy work for me? Is there anybody looking for an affordable Cover.???

Hey Greg I'm going to NYC for the Con in April. Are you going this year? I will be a guest artist at the Knightseeker booth. I did B&W chapter art for Knightseeker2.

Sorry to ask but ...h How much does affordable mean?

BlairSmith

If you are publishing something that needs a cover I would say $150 for cover art is fair.
I can give the realistic look and feel your character needs and deserves. Allow me to bring you cover to life. I want your cover to stand out from the rest.

That new character, Knight Seeker? Amazing work, Blair. My favorite thus far is the one with Captain America and Bush. xD I'm a sucker when it comes to Cap, but great detail, keep it up.
