Portman Prefers Being Bald

Revenge of the Sith star Natalie Portman accepts the bizarre responses her radical new haircut has provoked - but insists she prefers being bald. Fans were shocked when Closer Oscar nominee Portman shaved her head for her role in new movie V For Vendetta. She says, "Some people will think I'm a neo-Nazi or that I have cancer or I'm a lesbian. After all the crazy hairstyles I had to endure for the films, it's quite liberating to have no hair - especially in this heat."

I WAY perfered being bald. If a bald chick could get a regular, decent paying job in this town, I'd ALWAYs have all my hair shaved off.

Yeah, my hair's pretty long, and it is a pain. But I like how it looks and I don't think I could pull off the bald look.

So much pain in the ass. My hair was always getting stuck in chairs and screws and pretty much anything. People would find clumps of my hair in their houses even if I hadn't been there in MONTHS. Never. Again. I'm keeping this mess as short as I can and still be allowed to work in an office. Having it touch the back of my neck even bothers me now *cringes*.

But your hair does look really good the way it is....you are a stronger woman than me, Big Sis.

Man, it's been almost ten years since I last went around with a shaved head. Then again, I'm rather odd when it comes to my hair. I usually go two to three months between cuts. In fact, writing this post has involved more thought about my hairstyle than I've given it all month.

The only place that ever let me have my Ripley do was fast food. I've been in retail and office-settings since then and it is considered 'inappropriate in woman's hair.' Besides my new job rocks the casbah.

I've had hair that was at longest an inch for almost a year or so, and now my hair is just past my shoulders. Either look is ok, but I prefer the longer hair now. Spiked gets old after a while, and fluffy just looked stupid.

We have a few girls with VERY short hair at work... but then Petsmart could give a fuck less. Half the women they hire are lesbians, anyway.
