I've been on a noir kick since reading the text pieces in the back of Criminal and have been watching all movies recommended. The most recent being Point Blank. Overall it lives up to all the hype. The one thing that keeps me from loving it is the ending which doesn't quite add up with what happened in the beginning.

If the Alcatrazz drop was the organizations that would mean that Mal Reese knocked over the organization and paid them back with their own money. Which they should be pissed about instead of letting him back in.

Am I missing something or does this not make sense?

I'm guessing not the John Cusack hitman movie.

You're thinking of Grosse Point Blank.

The big con wasn't about the money, it was about "cleaning house" at the organization.

The money really only mattered to Walker and Mal.

I'm just posting to state the obvious, Lee Marvin is one bad ass fucker in this film.

But why would the organization let Mal back in if he stole their money? I can't get past that and I usually don't have trouble with suspension of disbelief if the movie's good.
