My wife and I have a vacation coming up. The week of WWChi to be exact, but since we can't afford to go to WWChi and we don't want to stay home, we might make a drive up to Mammoth Cave.
My wife has been wanting to take me to see Cave City for a while now, and today she suggested it. Mapquest has it as about a 12hr drive, so driving is definitely gonna happen. MY plan is to do a 3-4 day trip.
Any cheap motels/hotels and good places to eat around yonder?
I also plan on sketchjournalling the whole trip so I need beautiful things to see/draw while there. Not counting the caves.

I just wasted almost an hour of my life looking for a picture of Ronny Cox playing the guitar in that scene to post in response. Kill me. :surrend:

Post pics, man!
I can post sketches.
But pics will depend on if my sister-in-law's fiance lets us borrow their camera.

You'll be not far from where I live and even closer to where I grew up.
Go to the cheesy dinosaur park in Cave City, it's hilarious. Oh and Guntown Mt., it's even better.

Oh man, I used to drive by that place all the time when I was growing up. I wanted to go soooo badly.

You'll be near Bowling Green, that's about only about 2 hours away from Lexington. I'd even take you to KFC.
Watch out for Fat Man's Misery at Mammoth. :D

Bowling Green is where I am.
There's a pretty good comic/ record shop called The Great Escape, it's a little bit down from Exit 21 on I-65. It's the only place around and it has a pretty good selection of comics and other stuff.
