At eight or nine bucks a pop, your million tickets are only going to add $89 million to CHIMPMUNKS box office, which won't be nearly enough to put it in the same conversation with TITANIC.

Can someone tell me why Kevin Smith and Jason Lee are doing this shit?

1. Kevin Smith isn't an actor, he's a director. He plays a silent character with a couple lines because he's bad with remembering that many lines. That means no chick flicks, Smith. Go back to making awesome movies.

2. Jason Lee is a GOOD actor. He doesn't have to do retarded things like this.

did you put any music tapes in there aside the one he comes with to see if their lips move when it plays?

I put in my tape of Michael Jackson's Thriller in there and it played! His lips didn't move when the music played, but it had good sound quality. The tape player is dead now though.

My favorite PBS show of all time!
Better than Sesame Street. Better than 3-2-1- Contact. Better than Square 1 TV. Better than Mr. Rogers. Better than Reading Rainbow. Better than Today's Special. Better than Thomas the Tank Engine.

Except those films are targeted to the 13+ age group. Complaining about an Alvin and the Chipmunks movie is like complaining about the Garfield movies.

Just because they're rated PG-13 doesn't mean that's the sole or main age group they're hoping to reach.

Yes, Hollywood is taking rich, nuanced, beautifully written source material and turning it into movie schlock.

Well no matter what Michael Bay does with the Transformers movie we'll always have the original Dickens novel. Hollywood can't take that away from us!

Isn't Jason Lee in the Underdog movie too? Too bad for him.

We saw this at the theatre before Transformers. Stood there for a minute saying "Really?" "They Really made this?" "Really?" "I can't believe it." "They really made this?"

Everyone is being so negative.

Where's the trailer with footage from the film so I can form an opinion, cause otherwise all I have to go on is a poster that tells me nothing and basing my opinion on a simple poster would make me ... oh, what's the word I'm looking for?
