Who else is reading this and can't wait for the next issue? Wells and Di Giandomenico knocked me on my ass with the first one. I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did. If you even remotely like Daredevil or like origin stories, or reading about supporting characters I highly suggest it.

I loved the first issue. And I love the format its taking with each issue/chapter being referred to "Round 1" and then "Round 2" and so on; juxtaposing Battlin' Jack's final fight with the flashbacks of his life, raising Matt. I strongly feel that when all is said and done it'll be viewed as something truly special in the annals of Marvel history.

Agreed on every point. I also like how it finally nailed down the timeline between Matt's birth, Maggie leaving Jack and Maggie joining the convent.
I'm trade waiting on this, those covers do look excessively bloody though, are the interiors like that?

Not quite as bloody, but it's the same artist on covers as interiors, so the art style is the same.

I loved the first issue and was once again reminded of how much i enjoy Jack Murdock as a character.
Hell his scenes in the Daredevil movie alone garner that flick a thumbs up. Looking forward to issue 2.

Yeah, they nailed him in the movie. I wish they cut out the priest and gave Maggie his role though.

Minis like this seem ideal for the trade-wait. Since it seems to be garnering a fair amount of praise, I'll probably give it a shot once it does.

as a DD fan and a boxing fan , i love the idea behind it, but like DD father, I still don't get why it's a $3.99 series.
i enjoyed issue one, but will wait for the trade

My favorite parts from issue 3?
Matt saving Jack from the Fixer's men prior to the final fight. And the relationship between Jack and Josie. You just know she's still gonna put all her tips on him and she'd gonna win and buy her own bar with the money.
God this is so cool. :)

Who let Rob Liefield draw these covers? If it isn't his artwork then the artist should quit copying his style.

How so? The line work? You can't mean the anatomy since they're all mostly closeups.
And I think the covers are great.
