The most literal comic adaptation ever vs Van Damme doing the splits...again. Which is the better comic film?

Dark Horse comic adaptations probably shouldn't be allowed.

One has a stripper who doesn't get naked. The other has, if I remember correctly, a nude scene by Sloane Mother-fuckin' Peterson. How is this even a contest?

Time cop is probably the best Van Damme movie ever. But sin city is sin city.

You guys are all crazy. Name one actor in Time Cop who delivered as bad a performance as Michael Madsen did in Sin City. Not even Van Damme is that lame.

Right...Van Damme is really good here, and I'm sorry they didn't get a franchise going...(Timecop 2 is HORRIBLE!)

I like Madsen a lot but he is cringe worthy in that movie. Still, its galaxies better than Timecop, Timecop 2, and Timecop the TV series' best moments all added together.

Awww this is hardly fair for Timecop.

edit: and that cover shown is actually from the comic adaptation of the film. I think Timecop may have only appeared a few times in Dark Horse Presents

I voted for it because Van Damme deserves some votes, although I'd have to disagree with it being his best film (that'd be Universal Soldier for me)

I think the best Van Damme film is the one where he's a rogue French Legionnaire, I can't remember the name. All I know is Van Damme movies are always an absolute pleasure to watch, they're everything fun moviemaking is all about.

I love Van Damme movies . . . just not for the same reasons other people might like them. I enjoyed Sin City regardless that it was filled with boobies,

LIONHEART!!!!

King of the jungle!

Also know as "A.W.O.L." or "Wrong Bet" depending on your country of origin

I've got Van Damme's latest "Until Death" coming from Netflix today. I can't wait to watch it.

Its definitely Lionheart. He was simply a Legionnaire in Legionnaire but he was a "rogue" Legionnaire in Lionheart :)

Is the film about a legionnaire whose brother is killed so he goes AWOL to get to America to find out what happened and reach his brother's family all while fighting in an underground fighting ring? If so its Lionheart

If the film is about a boxer in 1920s France who doesn't throw a fight after being payed off by mobsters and has to go on the run and decides to hide in the French foreign legion, then you're referring to Legionnaire

Like 300, Sin City isn't a particularly good movie but it is very comic-booky. That's the dillema to vote for quality of film or fidelity of adaptation.

Definately quality of film. The more faithful an adaptation is the more useless it is.

Oh snap, it is Lionheart then. They need to release a JCVD box set so I can keep this stuff straight.
