Top 10 Superhero Movie Scenes (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19100979/?pg=1#superhero_movie_scenes)

Gotta agree with most of these, though #7 is an interesting choice.

Where's Superman asking Zod if he cares to step outside?

Pfft. No Batman Begins docks scene?

Fuck you list!

I pretty much disliked that movie, but that scene brought tears to my eyes.

(Of course, that was before he stalkerishly stared at Lois with his X-ray vision...)

No Nightcrawler in the White House nod? Really?

I thought number three should be number one. As a HUGE Spidey fan that scene was very emotional.

Rosemary's Baby

It's a pretty shitty list. Where's wolverine in the mansion in X2?

The Superman Returns scene is not one of the best scenes. Not even for top ten scenes in Superman Returns, for which there aren't even that many.

The Big Moment from Iron Giant has to count. It has to.

Akira

That list is severely lacking. And Entourage? Honestly?

i thought #6 was pretty lame

The end of Spidey 1, when he gets thrown throught the building, bomb goes off in his face, gets the shit kicked out of him, and then overcomes the goblin is my favorite Spidey moment.

I thought it was an excellent list. It seemed to come more from a love of character than bombast. It has all the moments that define the characters dramatically.

No Nightcrawler in the White House nod? Really?

It should count for coolness, but I think the emotional quality of some of these trumps bamf-ing in the White House.

This list is wrong.

It's missing:

"I've been...uh...*makes weight lifting motion*...working out."

"Winged freak. Terrorizes. Wait'll they get a loada me!"

...and any number of scenes from 300 and Sin City.

Those aren't superhero movies.

I would have liked to see the docks scene from Batman Begins on that list as well. I think it took the horror movie atmosphere to a whole new level. I also think the scene at the end of X-Men, where Magneto and Xavier are talking in Erik's "plastic prison" was just electric. Those two were, in many ways, the best part of the X-Men franchise.

#4 is plain stupid, imo.
far from the best scene out of that movie or franchise.

I thought it was a decent list.

Some choices which I would've used...
Magneto escapes (X-2)
"Kneel before Zod." (Superman 2)
Spider-Man No More (Spider-Man 2)
Bruce Wayne regains control of Wayne enterprises/ "Drunken Billionaire Burns Down House" (Batman Begins)

Those are all worthy additions IMO, sir. Oh man. The Magneto escape in X-2 made me so very happy. i've wanted to see Mags pull the Iron out of someone's blood since I was six.

Absolutely--I mean, its cool to see Nightcrawler attack the White House, but its not like its a dramatic, character scene that tells you about Nightcrawler and his story.

In fact his scene about character was one of X2's few missteps. Only because Storm spelled it out so obviously.

Not a bad list at all.

But The Incredibles had about a dozen scenes that trumped most of those.

Oh, yeah. Absolutely.

You are who you choose to be.

"Superman!"

Man, I still tear up every time I watch that.

Any list of this type where that scene isn't number 1 is incorrect!

OK anyone who says Sin City isn't a superhero story is on crack. With Daredevil, Miller put a superhero in a crime drama. In Sin City he turned the crime drama into a superhero story.

They dont use code names instead of their real ones. No costumes and no special origins or whatever. Its not a superhero story.

But #7 is just plain stupid.

The inclusion of the Superbrat is the poison pill. Anyone who thinks that Superman sneaking into his bastard son's room at night is a great moment for superheroes is an idiot.

Marv gets run over and shot in like every other panel. They all hop from rooftop to rooftop. They do TOTALLY have costumes! Just not spandex. 'Just replace capes with trench coats'. Something to that effect came right outta Millers mouth. Those stories owe just as much to Jack Kirby as they do Mickey Spillaine. More.

not impressed with that list. the inclusion of entourage was pointless. he could've fit any number of scenes from the incredibles in there instead. more love for batman begins would've been nice, and i would have used the plane catching scene in superman returns instead of the scene with his kid.

They sound like exaggerated street stories, too me.
