I don't mind the PG for FF2, or the PG-13 for the Adam Sandler flick, but PG-13 for Die Hard is fucking ridiculous!!

I don't mind a pg FF. I don't care about chuck & larry. But a pg-13 Die Hard makes 1988 Bruce Willis cry

Nothing wrong with the FF being PG.
Haven't got a clue what that other movie is.
PG Die Hard is like PG Robocop... someone has obviously forgotten the fucking point to the series :nonono2:

A PG-13 "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry" is just a smart move for sales. Teens will see a Sandler movie having grown up on comedies like Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, and Waterboy.
But, if I find out that the R rated version would have had a nude Jessica Biel, I'll be pissed:x

I agree with both parts...Especially about Jessica Biel, I mean, that would just be wrong.

Watch Man On Fire, change the title to Punisher, and you won't be pissed.
You'll just be confused why Punisher is black.

The Punisher was black at one time, wasn't he? Didn't he get plastic surgery or something and team up with Luke Cage at one time? Am I crazy??

Ghost Rider, Punisher and Daredevil shouldve been rated R, but its over.

I see no problem with a PG Fantastic Four given the tone of the Lee/ Kirby comics.
Still pissed about Punisher being PG-13.
I think comic movies shouldn't be R-rated unless most comics with that character are for Mature Readers.

I always think you're gay.
You need to put a girl in your avatar or something. :)
On the subject at hand- Hollywood has always had the exact amount of balls as the majority of America does. In this current age of super sensitive lefties and super religious righties its no wonder we get a PG-13 Die Hard.

Yes, he did.
So just imagine that plotline translated to film, you don't get to see the surgery and Cage isn't in the movie.
There's your Punisher film.

Punisher is normally meant for Mature Readers nowadays.
The MAX Ennis books are.
The pre-MAX Ennis books weren't really for Mature Readers. Neither is Punisher War Journal, or many other readily available comic books.
That said, I think the best thing the movie studios could do with the Punisher is just do a straightforward R-rated adaptation of "The Slavers" but only because that was a really good storyline.

I would kill for a "Mother Russia" mini series. That was probably my favorite Punisher story ever.

All things being equal, doesn't a PG-13 rating give you a MUCH bigger potential audience? It's a bit harder for an R movie to be a monster hit.

Thats true, but the first three Die Hards were all rated R, and they did more than fine with that. Stupid movie studios.

The other day when Bruce was on AICN, he was saying that the line will be in there, and that they are allowed two "fucks" for a PG-13. We'll see, I guess.
ummm.........yeah Punisher was rated R.

Punisher was Rated R, but his personality was pretty PG-13. Thomas Jane did a fine job, but most of the movie was Castle sulking and messing with John Travolta (ugh), as opposed to just gunning them down

The Die Hard thing made me all sad.
Then I watched a John Rambo trailer tonight.
And it was so fucking violent I almost died with joy.
Fuck DH, Rambo is where its at. I'm hearing it might be NC-17 if they don't tone it down.

the first Fantastic Four movie was a family movie. I really don't see why the second one would be any different. Fantastic Four as a property doesn't even work if you adult it up. The closest I can think I've seen the FF being anything close to mature reading was Joseph Strum's Unstable Molecules book. That was fucking outstanding.

1) You're argument has no basis here, it's a comic book movie and the movie studio wants the movie to be able to be seen by as many people as possible, and young people are the ones most likely to be repeat viewers.
2) Your argument has more of a basis here.
3) Again, the movie studio wants to make as much money as possible, and quite frankly, Adam Sandler's appeal/target audience (for the most part) aren't the people allowed to go to R rated movies.
Feel better?

Ratings have changed...Die Hard would probably be PG right now.
20 years ago Saw would have been X or NC-17...so I'm not really worried about a PG-13 Live Free or Die Hard.

I am very glad that FF is PG. My son will get to see what I never dreamt possible as a kid . . . seeing Silver Surfer on the big screen! And I am so glad that being PG, I don't have to worry about some random person just saying "fuck" just to get it in the movie, or Jessica Alba getting naked. Fuck yeah I'd like to see that, but she can be a tramp in some other movie. For christ's sakes, you can barely take your kids to see Disney movies anymore. So I am totally fucking stoked that FF is PG.
The other two mean little. Don't get me wrong, I like Die Hard . . . but getting to hear "fuck" every five minutes isn't what makes a movie good.

Yeah, 'cause the first FF was so hardcore.
