however, Aunt May being a Skrull ever since her death in the clone saga makes perfect sense. She suddenly becomes less weak and frail, she shrugs off peter's secret identity revelation, she's the one who encourages him to reveal his secret ID.

And now her "death" is pushing peter off the deep end.

It makes a little sense. More than MJ anyways, but I suppose it serves less purpose to JoeQ's vendetta than MJ.
