Hi Adi,
You do great work!
I wondered if you had a lot of trouble matching the colors on the screen with print, and how you deal with it.
Also what do you think of the debate between digital artists on switching from crt monitors to lcd?
What made you pick what you use?
Thanks!

Thanks!
I calibrate my monitor as best as I can using Adobe Gamma and I work in the widely used color profile that matches Marvel's printer. But other than that I can only hope it comes out alright. In any stack of comics you can find at least two different shifts in hue on covers alone, so it's really impossible to get it perfect.
CRT is still far superior. I have a CRT Trinitron and a matching resolution LCD and the CRT is untouchable. But unfotunatelly the CRTs are getting rather hard to find. Sony doesn't even make them anymore.
But having said that, I love the ease of working on a laptop so I can take my work anywhere. And since I only color digitally the loss of some of the value doesn't bother me too much.
Hmm, what made me pick what I use... I guess I need lots of processing speed for big files and the best display available. I've been working on Sony stuff for years so I kinda stick with that. I have no time nor desire to build my own computers so I just order whatever seems appropriate.
And just as, with time, I develop preferences for the type of paper or pencils I like to use the same thing goes for technology. For instance I prefer a smaller Wacom tablet over a big one which I find cumbersome, etc...
