MSNBC, Fox News, CNN. They are ALL camped out in front of Paris motherfucking Hilton's house. Why? Because a police car might swing by and take her to court. Fuck that shit. I couldn't give less of a fuck. Is there NOTHING going on in the fucking world? Aren't we still involved in a fucking war?

Marc Lombardi

Yes. We are at war with Paris.

Agreed. It's a fucking drunk driving case. Both sides need to get over it and shut the fuck up already.

No, no, no. She needs to go back to jail, have a nervous breakdown, and god willing, hang herself with her designer belt.

But she also needs to not be on my fucking TV anymore.

Meh.

She might not have been released early if she wasn't a celebrity, but I'm also willing to bet the judge wouldn't give a crap if a nobody was released early. I just want this to be over, so we can get back to 24-7 coverage of election 2008. At least those attention whores matter.

I hated the news before there was ever a Paris Hilton. Nothing but breeders of fear and anxiety for the sake of ratings.

The only reason I even consider watching the news is for the weather, and they can't even get that right most of the time.

The only news that's worth watching comes from Kent Brockman. It maybe fictional, but it's pretty goddamned funny.

So you don't consider drunk-driving to be a serious offense?

While I agree that the news media shouldn't be on this 24/7, I think the principal players in this mess, most notably Paris Hilton, is not taking her crime as seriously as she should.

She's hasn't shown that she's regretful for what she did. Nor has she shown the court of law any respect. Days after she read her scripted apology to the court after her second parole violation, she was seen again driving!

And hundreds upon hundreds of cases like this are dealt with by the court system each and every day, without it being treated like WW3.

Well, she's a celebrity. We're a nation obsessed with celebrity.

That plus the fact that many Americans are outraged over how the case was handled. It's a "hot topic".

Yup...it's all ratings, and the "news" has become entertainment.

"Attractive White Woman Missing!"

"Paris Hilton ___________."

I watched BBC America the other morning, and got actual NEWS. It was amazing.

"Paris Hilton was just ordered back to jail in Lynwood to serve out the remainder of her sentence! She'll get credit for 5 days already served.

Hilton left the courtoom in tears, screaming, "Mom, Mom, Mom."

One witness described the scene as: Paris was "physically escorted" out of the courtroom by a female deputy."

How about that!

She's not in this because of drink-driving, it's probation violation.

I just wish it would go away because quite frankly a lot of people are really worrying when talking about this. "YES! A person who has done nothing hugely negative in my life is going to prison! Ha, she's crying! I hope she gets beaten up! How dare she be famous!"

Yes, she's in this mess for two probation violations stemming from her drunk-driving arrest.

If she had obeyed the terms of her probation, she wouldn't being going to jail.

It brings me joy to believe that there is justice in the world, and that justice is aligned with my personal opinions.

why wouldn't it be? She is a ward of the state, regardless of her status of house arrest.

<Sparrow> Okay, was trying to find some viddy of this, but can't
<Sparrow> Paris Hilton, after being reassigned to Home Detention, was brought back to court today and the judge ordered her to return to jail to complete the remainder of her 45 day sentance
<Sparrow> I know you don't give a damn about this
* WinterRose does wonder why you're interested.
<Sparrow> However, at the press conference when this was announced, some guy off screen actually SCREAMED (anguished) "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! NO! NO! NONONONO!!!"
<WinterRose> ROFLMAO!!
<WinterRose> ROFLMAO!!
<Sparrow> Hep thought it was bizarrely funny as well
<WinterRose> My interest with her begins and ends with her spaced out doll-ish expression. But I think her sister's prettier.
