Read it with my 8 year old daughter she and I loved it both the clever writing and the inspired art. More please!!! This was quiet and excellent surprise.

i really liked it.

i plan on reading it to my 5 year old at some point. but i need to make sure i catch her in the right "mood" so that she enjoys it more.

i liked how you were able to integrate the two stories and still keep the tone of spidey universe.

you also provided a great demonstration for why peter and MJ need to stay married.

i loved the JJJ alliteration.

I read it a while ago but was reserving some judgment until I'd read it with my 6 year old; she loved that MJ was more the central character, & I know it helped a lot that it was actually well written. I mean, this is exactly what I've been looking for all year. My daughter loved all the Fairy Tales of Oscar Wilde adaptations that P. Craig Russell did but the Marvel Illustrateds are a bit wordy for her. At the other end of the spectrum are the comics based on cartoons she likes, & they just plain suck.

So, score one for the all-ages crowd because we both loved it! Very few books are really appealing to all ages, despite the term. The dialog was explanatory enough for her while still remaining light-hearted enough for me (as opposed to be too childish for either of us.) I enjoyed the expression in the art though I kinda wanted a little more outline & definition. The first 2 pages were the only problem areas, really, as they were dark with a black gutter/ background & some overlapping panels made the flow a little confusing. None of that bothered my daughter, though.

hey CB first time poster on your forums, and I gotta say, loved Spidey Fairytales#1. Having not read X-Men Fairy Tales I had no idea what to expect, but I came out of it wanting more. I liked Issue #1 better than #2, but I think it was only b/c I'm more familiar with the Grim Fairy tales than African fairy tales, so I can't wait till #4 w/ your take on Cinderella.

I heard there were talks of Avenger Fairy Tales like Wizard of Oz? that would be sweet! is that still on?

I really enjoyed this story. :) 'Course, I've enjoyed all the Fairy Tales, especially the X-Men series. I've re-read them several times, and am just about ready to share all of these with my daughter, who just turned 6 yesterday. The adaptations of the tales we read/heard as children, illustrated and presented in comic book fashion, was a brilliant idea, and I think it has worked very well, with every issue that's been released. I eagerly look forward to the rest! :D
