My kids are nuts about that cereal. After eating it they virtually vibrate. My wife has banned it after spending a hellish post Smores morning with them.

I agree with Keith P.

As a child, every 1.5 weeks, I tried a new cereal. :D I also love:

Must be a sign I'm getting old.

Yeah, I can still find it. Although it is not as easy as Count Chocula to find. Most of the time I have to stock up around Halloween, when they have both Boo Berry and Frankeberry.

Wal-mart is awesome. It makes city property values skyrocket and it's got a huge selection and it's all soo cheap.

p.s. I've read Nickel and Dimed, so I know all about Wal-mart and it's inner workings, but I still shop there because where my school is, it's all we've got plus it's a broke man's favorite place.

I have to go with Fruity Pebbles too. Had a bowl of that followed by a bowl of Corn Pops this morning. My top 5:

1. Fruity Pebbles
2. Corn Pops
3. Cinnamon Toast Crunch
4. Reeses Puffs
5. Honey Comb

Though I'm a sucker for marshmallow cereals too. Also, my wife is a HUGWE milk drinker but only Skim milk. I only drink it with my cereal or Carnation Instant Breakfast and I HAVE to drink Whole milk. YUM! So tasty.

I love Fruity Pebbles but they really make you feel queasy after a couple bowls. I don't have enough self-control around cereal so I usually just buy the stuff I marginally like so I'm not having 5-6 bowls a day.

It's not the way that Wal-Mart works that I avoid it. It just always so damned crowded and chaotic. Screw that for $5 of savings. I'll go the the convience store and get my beer, $5 just aint worth the chaos. I thrive on quite and peace. That is something that Wal-Mart just aint got.

Seriously. Fruity Pebbles, Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Smores cereal are snacks as much as they are meals. The problem is that the snacks to meals ratio shifts dynamically when I have those cereals around.

Also, has anyone noticed that Trix doesn't come in shapes anymore? They seem less tasty and they gey soggier in less amounts of time now with the lame ball-shaped puffs. I want the tasty shapes back!

Trix was the puffy balls from the 60's until the 90's when they then switched to the shapes.

I'm pretty sure they still have shapes. I thought it was the less sugar variant that went back to puffs, and that was it.

Every once in a while (and it has been a while) my wife and I buy a box of Captain Crunch.

I like Frosted mini wheats, too.

That said, when my wife tried to buy my kids "sugar cereal" I had to have a talk with her about nutrition.

Cheerios has enough sugar in it.

We currently buy Yogart Cheerios, Crisp-X, Frosted Mini-Wheats, and Crispy Wheats and Raisons (yum!).

I'm in with the Boo Berry. I always have a few boxes in my kitchen. I too stock up around Halloween.

Recently I discovered a ceral called Blueberry Muffin Tops at the Dollar Store. I was curious so I got a box. WOW! I love it but it's like crack. It's like blueberry flavored Cinnamon Toast Crunch style cereal, with 10 pounds of sugar added.

I know for a fact that Snap, Crackle and Pop are all dirty, dirty whores.

Actually, while I eat Cheerios with honey for breakfast every morning (with a sprinkling of Kix or Crispix), I could down tons of Frosted Flakes or Honey Smacks if the mood was right.

Reese's is still the cereal box sitting here in my house (even though nowadays I eat cereal on rare occasions) but if something peanut butter comes out, somehow I end up with a box to try.

Peanut butter cookie crips and peanut butter toast crunch are both here as well.

I think the perfect cereal there used to be was Pac-Man. Corn puffs and marshmellows. Can't go wrong with that.

Then again, I was always eating that or Life cereal with bananas. And a lot of Sweet N Low to sugar everything up.
