Today was a nice one.
Turned in a page-by-page breakdown for my 4th issue of my "secret project".
Wrote the scene for A:TI #6. The one that everyone's been waiting for.
My 30th issue of SHE-HULK came out. And I really like that one. Rick, Cliff, Dave, Greg... heck, EVERYONE did a GREAT job.
Read a LOT of nice comments and well wishes from people wishing I didn't have to leave the book. Always nice. :)

Picked up 2 weeks worth of comics. Huzzah.

Got two nice She-Hulk related gifts from Tom Brevoort:
A copy of the third SHE-HULK TPB from Spain (where she's called "HULKA"). And I always get a BIG kick out of seeing the foreign editions. I really DIG that!

And-- this is TOO COOL for words-- the actual prototype of the Diamond Select She-Hulk Figure (based on Adi's cover to SHE-HULK #2). This is now one of the MOST AWESOME things I own!

And at the store I was finally able to pick up a copy of THE CLASSIC MARVEL FIGURINE COLLECTION Magazine #38 (featuring the She-Hulk figurine) from the UK. I've been SO waiting for this! Here's a picture of the lead/hand painted figure:

This was doubly cool because each figurine comes with a really nice magazine-- something that's really well put together-- that's a comprehensive guide to everything you'd ever need to know about the character. (I already have the ones for Spidey, The Thing, and The Hulk-- and have made a point of keeping the magazine/guides because, damn, they ARE good.)
And it was really neat to see how they incorporated EVERY aspect of She-Hulk: Savage, Sensational, Avengers, FF... and my stuff. For so long, I've been a fan of this character. I was so invested into her adventures by Stern in the Avengers, Byrne in the FF, Avengers, and Sensational, and then going back and reading all of the Kraft/Vosburg issues of Savage... It's weird to think that my work is now officially part of this character's journey.

I really do have one of the best jobs on Earth. And I am very grateful for Marvel taking a chance on me. And for everyone who's supported this title.

This was a good day.
:)

Thanks,
Dan

Para ellos que quieren este libro (y otros) en castellanos (incluso "eso tipo"), se puede compra "Hulka" por esta libreria. Yo creo (pero no soy seguro) que se pueden mandar libros al Estados Unidos.

Google translate:

For them who want this book (and others) in Castilian (even “that type”), it can buys “Hulka” by this bookstore. I create (but I am not safe) that books can be commanded to the United States.

Hmmm.

Hmmm.

Never trust machine translation. Google has never heard of the Spanish verb "creer" which means "to believe"? The English words "credible", "incredible", and "creed" derive from the same root word. This is what I was ATTEMPTING to write in Spanish:

"For those who want this book (and others) in Castillian (including "that guy"), you can buy She-Hulk through this bookstore. I believe (but I am not sure) that you can send books to the United States."

Eddie Cunningham

P.S. Since Basque and Catalan are minority languages spoken in Spain, what we know as Spanish is usually referred to as "Castillian" (or "castellano") within Spain itself.

Just want to re-iterate what Dan said about the magazines. They could so easily be fluff pieces but they are really well-written, intelligent, full of Marvel trivia and best of all written with an ironic tongue in the cheek. :)
