It's scheduled for this current weekend (May 18th-20th, 2007).

How was it?

I haven't done it the last three years.
I did it about 12 years straight before that though. I used to go there with Bendis when he lived in Ohio and when we were starting out at Caliber which was based there.

I only went for the Saturday. It was a pretty good time for me, cause I was able to get the books I brought signed, and sketches from those that I wanted a sketch from.

Not sure how it was for the guests, or anyone else.

Hey David, thanks for replying. I went Saturday because you were advertised along with David Finch, Greg Horn, and Andy Lee. So it was a simple case of false advertising.

The con was OK. I got to talk with Greg Horn for a couple of minutes about the industry, and I got an Art of Greg Horn book from him. I wanted to talk with David Finch too, but I didn't want to bog the line and settled with purchasing his sketch book and looking at his original art.

I didn't see Andy Lee there. Not sure if he was planning on going or not. Last year, he wasn't on the guest list, but was there.

I don't imagine Andy planned to go or signed up to go. He's been living in Hawaii since last year, and I don't know of him planning for any conventions anymore.


Actually, it would have been nice to go. I didn't remember when it was, but if I had heard about it ahead of time, or if I knew I had a hotel room there, I probably would have been able to make an impromptu trip Friday night for Sat & Sun.
Kinda bummed that I missed it in a way.
It would have been fun, and my brother has been staying with me and he might have enjoyed it.

But, oh well, I did tons of work that I had to do anyway.

Oh, I forgot I still had the El Paso deal in my profile. I moved back to MI in January, so I'm back in the Mid-West.

Yeah, I'll try to make it to another convention. This one was great timing because I got an advance from a freelancing gig, so I had money to spend.
