Hey space cadets, I'm running firefox on a MacBook Pro, but I'm having trouble playing movies. Everytime I open one (Youtube, Quicktime movie, whatever), the movie takes forever- 4. EV. AR.- to load. Since most YouTube stuff autoplays, this leads to a lot of annoying starts and stops. The weird thing is, I don't have any of these issues if I surf the web on Safari.

But...but I like Firefox better, dammit!

So, anyone encounter stuff like this? Any ideas on what I can do? Thanks!

(BTW- simply leaving a reply saying "Firefox sucks" or some variation, while possibly the source of the problem, isn't exactly helpful. :) )

I've been using firefox for about two weeks now and the only problem I've had is that if I come HERE and try to reply to messages, it crashes. I can watch movies fine.

Hmmm, I use Firefox all the time, and I haven't encountered any problems. But I have a Windows compy, not a Mac.

i have a macbook and i use firefox and i've never ran into that problem.

is it possible you have an old version of firefox? maybe one that was made before mac switched to intel chips?

yeah, my only advice is make sure you have the most recent version of firefox, i dont know what else it could be.
