Bad for the kid. The only way this could even be remotely safe if is the mouth was sewed shut, fangs and venom glands removed. Snakes can sill leak venom without fangs, they just have no method of injecting it, and thread can break if its mouth is sewed shut.

HORRIBLE for the snake. Animal mutilation is just awful.

And as someone who has been bitten by a venomous snake... *shudder*
