I would actually buy a MK 4 hardcover.
It sucked that they never ended up making one:(
A part of me still holds out hope for an Omnibus, but that will never happen.
And I liked Jim Muniz's stuff just as much as McNiven's, by the way.

Hey Steve Zegers, recommend me some silver age DC books to pick up at Wizard World Chicago. I am told you are the silver age maestro.
My favorites are Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen, Superboy, and Superman's Girlfriend Lois Lane. For my money, they are the silliest and have the best covers. That's how I pick, I just look through them and get the ones that look funny. (For example, Lois getting married to satan. That's funny to me.)
If you want to get the Showcase books, so you get some collected silliness, Aquaman, Metamorpho, Superman Family, Legion, and Green Arrow were my favorites.

Not until I've hassled her into making a second SM:heart:MJ hardcover:p
Have you read the first yet? Brilliant stuff, it's a book without a demographic. IMO anyone can pick it up and enjoy it.

Some of you will hate me for this, but I think Daniels is a tad overrated. Those pages did nothing for me.
I still can't believe DC would bring Barry back. I don't care if Waid is writing, I'm no buying it. Although going back to the original numbering seems to indicate going back to what the Flash was like before i.e. Wally in the suit.

Some thoughts with spoilers
I'm wondering how much Hogwarts will play in if they don't return. It's as important of a character as Ron, Hermionie, or Ginny.
Are Harry and Ginny still together? They left that pretty vague....
I'm pretty much certain Snape's on Dumbledore's sign. The begging of Dumbledore and Severus' complaining was likely about how to deal with the Unbreakable Oath, Snape wanted to break it and kill himself but Dumbledore not letting him. The only thing I'm confused about is that Bellatrix Lestrange mentioned to Harry in Book 5 that you had to want it to perform an Unforgivable Curse, but Snape using the Killing and Cruciatus.

There totally going back to Hoqwarts. The series, as well as being about Voldemort and Harry and all that, is about Harry's time at Hogwarts, which is why there are seven books, for seven years of schooling
Not only are they together, but Ginny is preggers.
Snape is totally a good guy.
Continuity error, Continuity error. Raise the alarm. WHOOP WHOOP WHOOP!

You're probably right that they're going back, but I can see a lot of the story being in the outside world.
For some reason, a pregnant Ginny kind of freaks me out.
A continuity error....... I am never buying another Harry Potter book again!:x;)
What do you guys think are the remaining Horcruxes? Here's my list of possibilities.
Slytherin's Locket (almost definitely)
Hufflepuff's Cup (almost definitely)
Nagina (likely)
Something of Ravenclaw (maybe)
Something of Gryffindor (doubt it, since the only relic left is the sword)
Harry himself (would be the big reveal)
???????????????????????????????
I don't know about you guys, but I'm not going to be able to resist this:

So, am I the only one who's really looking forward to Young Justice #92 this week? i mean, it's been a wild ride leading up to this point. The title really suffered when they had to have Superboy leave for New Kandor due to the lawsuit, but it's rebounded really well since then. This week looks great. I mean, the entire team's been captured by Harm and Bedlam, and it's up to Cissie to rescue them! Will this finally be the issue where she comes back from retirement? This is such a great title. Thank God at the last minute they decided against cancelling it for Teen Titans. Who knows how bad things would have been if they didn't make that choice?

Oh, no. I read them too.
Was it the ones on Newsarama?

So, I just read the last two issues of Countdown (47 & 46) and in my opinion, the quality has improved over the previous issues. The art in 47 was a bit weak, but Saiz put out another great issue in 46. Conversely, the story in 47 was better than the story in 46.
I'm beginning to get into the groove with the Olsen storyline and the Rogues scenes are improving every issue. The Mary Marvel story is finally progressing (after she spent like three issues doing nothing in the church with Adam); I dig her new look and the villain worked just fine for the piece. I'm still waiting for my Eclipsed-Mary, though.
'Sorry' was Adam's code-word? Weak. And if it was, howcum 'Shazam' still changed him back? Can someone explain that to me?
The scene in 47 with Donna and Jason gets the overall important storyline moving along a bit more, which pleases me, though the villain that shows up (and was featured on the cover) I am uncertain about. I'll have to wait and see, but so far she does nothing for me.
I will say this, I'm looking forward to reading more, which wasn't so much the case with the earlier issues.
46 - 6.5/10
47 - 7/10

THE DAN AND JANN SHOW
[Yellow Light]Of late, there has been some, possibly mindless, speculation from DC people and those with DC connections, that Dan DiDio, Senior Vice President - Executive Editor, DC Universe will depart from DC shortly.
The gossip tide was firstly that DiDio is meant to be blamed for an underperforming "One Year Later" and there has been some, quite expected, criticism of his heavy handed approach to the creative nuts and bolts. Secondly, that DiDio's nickname has, reportedly, changed from "Shooter" to "Jemas." And thirdly that the "Countdown" series had been passed to Mike Carlin to oversee, an experienced industry man who many thought had seen his time pass at DC in favour of DiDio's approach.
However, I mention it now because the gossip tide seems to have turned, with something behind it. Not only has Dan reupped his DC contract, but the promotion of Jann Jones to Contributing Editor has yielded results. Described by some as basically running the DCU, her title belies her extensive role in idea creation, management and hiring and the results of their work on the DCU are starting to show. "The Dan And Jann Show" is the way it's been described to me and certainly a force to be reckoned with.
But could Mark Waid be a new factor? We've heard how he's writing "Flash," but I hear he may be talking to DC about a more extensive editorial director/writer position, possibly something akin to what he once had at Marvel Comics.
It certainly makes for interesting times.
That's big big news. The Mark Waid thing isn't that big a deal though considering Geoff Johns and Grant Morrison also have similar deals.

There really aren't any truly great ones like that on the air currently. The new Kevin Williamson drama, Hidden Palms, is horrid. FNL and One Tree Hill are the only really great teen dramas left.
There are supposedly a few really good ones on The N on cable. DeGrassi(the most general teen drama), Beyond the Break(Surfer Girls), Instant Star(about a teenager who wins an AI-like competition), and South of Nowhere(Teen lesbians!). They're all Canadian.

Also, have you watched Supernatural? It's not truly a teen drama, as the main characters are 19 and 22, but it's a great show in the vein of Buffy.
I'm also a huge fan of Roswell, if it's out on DVD. So much better than the vastly inferior Smallville. And check out the one season of the amazing Jack and Bobby. Like Dawson's Creek meets the West Wing.

Well, it did only have three decent seasons. 3 and 5-6 are horrid. One Tree Hill is far superior. One of my all-time favorites is Everwood. It's more of an ensemble drama, but truly excellent and very similar to Friday Night Lights in the way it gives equal focus to the teen and adult characters.

Roswell was a pretty good show though, ended too early.

Actually, I just love the way they blended the genres of One Tree Hill and the West Wing. The main problem I thought the show had was that they gave away the store too early. No way should they have let us in on the answer at the end of the first episode.
Roswell had a ton of interesting ideas, and the first two seasons were pretty much flawless, but season three never got off the ground. Overall, a much better attempt at sci-fi teen drama than a lot of others.
Also, Joan of Arcadia is a good one for the two seasons it was on. Matt, I know you're religious, so you might really like the questions it raises. Too bad it was cancelled just as things started getting really interesting.
Joanof arcadia was stupid. Not even Joe Mantegna could save it from all the horribleness.
Right, damn. I'm getting them confused with some other show. Huh.
