I can't say what the situation is, but needless to say it blows. They try to soften the impact by being nice and giggly for the first couple of minutes, and then they blindside you.

I am now suspended and won't know my job status until my manager gives me a call in the next 24-48 hours.

Grr.

Did you do something wrong?

honestly if they suspended you start looking for a new job, if it is retail or anything of that nature. Unless they come back and completely reveal they were wrong.

but they probably wouldnt have suspended you if that was the case.

good luck

I work at CVS.

They classify it as wrong, there are two instances, but both were involving another party. I offered to recompense the company for the first instance, and the second is already taken care of.

I figured as much.

But thanks for the well-wishes. :)

Sorry to hear that. I worked at Eckerd drug store for the longest time as a assistant manager, and as soon as LP got involved in anything, or suspended anybody, they were as good as fired. I hope that doesen't happen to you, good luck, but I'd keep my eyes peeled for something else. And, most of the time, the people in LP are giant assholes anyways...Big chain retail stores suck balls to work for.

Yeah, it fucking sucked, we were all laughing and making jokes, and then WHAM!!! Take it, bitch! Yeah, it blew. Fortunately, I know of at least three places hiring right now. :)

I actually dumped the guy in the Chicago River. Shh. ;)

I had it worse.

I used to work for a large powerful automotive corporation. While there, I accidentally installed some malicious software (that the fucking IT guy sent me!!!) called Back Orifice. Apparently, it allowed people to access very sensitive financial information off of our corporate servers.

They fucking grilled me and interogated me and threatened me. It took about a week till I finally said, "fuck this! I quit!" I never narced out the IT guy - who knew it was his fault - but God Damn... that was the worst professional experience of my life.

All that being said - at the time I thought it was the worst thing in the world. But it turned out to be an amazing stroke of good fortune because I ended up getting a better job, with better pay, that allowed me to spend more time with my wife.

Hopefully you can come out of this in a better place than you were when you started.

Having been an APS (LP) for Target Corp for a time I can say yeah, you should probably find another job ASAP. Good luck though, man.

Thanks, Randy. I hope so, too.

It sucks because CVS is the first job I've made ten bucks an hour at... I'm almost 26 but still working through college, and getting jobs based on my management experience (I've pretty much been hired as or promoted to management since I was 18). But I do have a great job at GameStop and I am pretty sure they are looking for full-time management. And if not, at the end of this month I start at the local university's Youth Sports and Fitness Camp, so I can just work there full time. It's not as much pay but it's fun.

It is what it's going to be, and it sucks but there's a reason for everything.

Still, though, thank you guys for your support, it is much appreciated because I am pretty down on myself.
